What do you think the ask would be for either player to Calgary?

Both players bring an area of need that would potentially elevate Calgarys play to the next level in order to contend.

Can't see either being available. Hopefully PLD gets locked down to a long term deal this summer.
Doesn’t look to promising in Jets Land. Facing a similar situation most people thought Calgary would be facing up until their play of this year. Same core. For the last few years that has not won yet.

Which is why if the Jets did in fact decide to change things up, they would likely try to move older players and re-group around a core anchored by PLD/Connor/Perfetti, etc. And Ehlers is young enough to be in that group as well.

Core in Winnipeg is changing. PLD will be a long term piece and Wheeler and MS will be shopped. I don't see any way that PLD, Connor or Ehlers are the guys moved.

Or Scheifele!

would be happy to put together a futures package (1st, 2nd, Coronato/Valimaki/Zary, B prospect, Pitlick, probably more idk)

Probably not, likely looking at the Eichel package as a base. Cap has to go back the other way to make anything work next year so something like Monahan + at least 1 of Coronato/Zary/Pelletier + 1st.

And Monahan isn't the greatest fit coming back either. Nothing about the player, just that if the Jets are trading Scheifele it's to regroup around the younger core. Getting a 28 year old with 1 year left on his contract as a major piece doesn't make much sense IMO.

Id want the Wolfman in that deal

haha he’s like the only prospect that I really don’t want to move with Pelletier a close 2nd

it would probably be worth it but I don’t want to Flames to miss out on another good goalie that they had their hands on

what would the rest of the package look like

Wow, Scheif is only 28? Seems like he's been around for longer than that.

Monahan isn't the major piece here when you are getting a blue chip prospect and a 1st at least. He's there to make the cap work next year.
