Post-Game Talk: Eff those Refs... Jets lose 4-2

Jets looked like a team at the end of a long grind. Was nice to see them empty the tanks and make an interesting game of it. Ben is a dink

Well, on the plus side, I finally got to watch a game. On the minus side, it was that game.

I might argue that you still haven't seen a game.

When you spot the other team a couple of goals and then decide you are only going to play for 10-15 minutes in the 3rd period... this is the result.

Oh well, winning 4 of 5, including games against Nashville and Vegas is a nice way to go into the break. It's been a hectic stretch for them, time to refuel and get some healthy bodies back soon.

And for one of the biggest teams in the league we sure got pushed around a lot. Did Lowry even play? And where was Trouba? He used to play mean.

Lowry was one of the few players who played a complete game. You didn’t see his shorthanded breakaway?

The refs were terrible in the third but the jets were terrible in the first two periods.

More frustrated at the Jets than the refs I think.

Frustrating that the best player on the Jets was taken off the ice on a bogus call when the Jets finally decided they were going to play.

Yeah we really do. Man Chef had a **** week. Bruised and battered, probably 10 chicklets for under his pillow for the tooth fairy by now.

And he played crappy all week too.

They actually hung in there impressively well. After beating LV and the Preds this would be a tough game on the road especially against a team feeling desperate. Go into the break and get healthy and lets have some fun down the stretch.

The difference in the game was the puck seem to bounce the Stars way ... you knew that was going to happen when a team loses 4 games and only scores 3 goals.
So for those you think the NHL does not fix the games. It's weird Dallas in their last 4 games only scored 3 goals and had 11 PPs in 4 games. Play the Jets you get 7 PPs.

Awful call on scheifele refs all around for both teams were terrible.

Anyways, I like the comeback I think the dads' trip made them realize to step it up, and show some fight down 3-0.

All i know is I'm pretty sure Jets will go farther than the Stars in the playoffs...If they make it...

The only call i didn't likewas the penalty on Chief. Pretty weak. The rest seemed like reasonable calls. Jets didn't show up until the 3rd period. Loss is on them, not the refs.

LOL ... the refs got the word from Bettman ... 3 straight penalties to Florida to close the gap to 3-2.

I am glad that there was some pushback in the 3rd, 17 shots in that period... very solid. I wasn't expecting that, there have been a couple of games this season where they have gone gently into the night in the 3rd.

The hole they dug for themselves in the first 2 was too deep though. Very rough game for Kulikov, that 2nd goal was on him for turning over the puck with a bad pass at his own blueline when he had time and space to make a better play. That kinda pass if made by Niku has him sitting the rest of the game.

Some bizarre decision making by Scheifele. With 3 minutes to go and Jets on the PP for another 50 seconds, Scheifele makes a really strange play at at the Jets blueline which results in a break for the Stars and the Laine penalty.If someone can explain to me what he was trying to do... I would really appreciate it.

In the long run it is probably better that they lost that game so they don't start thinking they can just show up in the 3rd and win games.

4th line was good in the 3rd period after being a complete tire-fire in the 1st.

Decent effort by the Little line. No one will complain about Laine if he plays like he did these last 2 games more often... goals or no goals. Maybe the Jets should ask Laine's dad to travel with the team?

They just have to be more consistent. It’s been either really bad or really good.
