Yeah I remember saying that it was a possibility that Galchenyuk would be sent back on the wings and the pro MT laughed at me...

If this is right, I hate the move....it better be for 1 game only

I highly doubt it's for one game only.

The thing is AG simply can't produce at the expected rate while playing with two bottom 6 wingers (and this is what Byron, Shaw, Gheto and Lehkonen are let's be real). If AG can't produce like expected then he's gonna be removed from there. It's as simple as that in MT mind.

DD? He doesn't have to be productive to be there. Of course MT will remove him from there the day we have four 60 points wingers and our top 6 is a legit cup contending top 6 which basically is never cause in today's NHL almost nobody got that save for a few teams at the very most.

Logically the move to do would be to separate Radulov and Patch. Our two legit top 6 vets. Patch is a lot more experienced than AG and i think he can handle a line made of bottom 6 players more effectively than AG can right now. AG is learning to play center at this level. It's a lot to ask for him to learn this role at this level while playing with young bottom 6 wingers. Patch is a vet. Logically i would do :

Byron-AG-radulov (a vet with a kid and an inexperienced bottom 6)
Patch-Danault-Shaw (Patch with 2 young bottom 6 players)

But I suspect this will happen for the rest of the season instead. AG can't produce with bottom 6 guys. Not at the way MT expected him to anyway. He's gonna be removed from there and DD will have the luxury to play with higher quality wingers (AG and Shaw (AG and Gallagher once he returns) is better than anything MT will give to AG as wingers right now). At the trade deadline MB will make a move for a rental. But since AG will have just a few games of experience at center he wont be able to play there in the playoffs so DD will remain at center and this new rental will play with Plekanec. DD will have crap playoffs again and AG will be blamed for that being the skilled guys. Our rental will do crap with Plekanec in a bottom 6 role while less skilled guys will have more offensive opportunities.

People expecting MT to change are unrealistic imo. He's a good coach. But he's a mule and will stay one. It's written in the sky.

If MB really want to keep MT this summer he needs to trade AG for an experienced center and let DD go. There's absolutely no way MB can afford to extend DD.

I could be wrong of course. And i really hope i am. But i don't see what is different this season. It's the same old. Started strong with MT showing sign of doing things differently. Then as soon as things start to go wrong he reverts to his old habit. Team is not looking good right now. I don't understand why he doesn't try the beginning of the season lines. People say Danault looks good with Patch and Radu. Yeah sort of. But the rest of the team is doing **** and is made of bottom 6 players and AG alone on his Island. And the team itself is not looking good at all. I've said it and i'll say it again. Danault is slowly becoming the new DD. I love the player and it hurts me to see him going to the dark side of the force.

Because it is something that is so absurd at this point that there was really no reason for it to be an option whatsoever

Galchenyuk has 45pts in 49 games since taking 1st line center duty last year.
DD has 13 points in 35 games during that same period.

It's blatant, stupid, favoritism and it's been hurting this team for years (and not only with DD, many others like Weise, Bouillon)

Poor ****ing Galchenyuk.:shakehead

If we let AG continue to produce, he will be too expensive to resign. Smart thinking Bergevin & Therrien smart thinking.

This may be laying the groundwork to flip the two centers now so MT can justify putting DD with Pac and Radulov and Then Putting Danault at C with Chuck on his wing lol

Everyone of you miserable Desharnais supporters and defenders deserve this horrible player and coach.

It's unbelievable how much of a hard on this coach has for Desharnais.

We have a young point per game player who had a rough game yesterday. And he gets benched for a guy who doesn't deserve to play in the league. A guy who wouldn't make it on any contenders lineup. I wouldn't be surprised if Galchenyuk demanded a trade. I wouldn't blame him.

The Therrien and DD supporters are as stubborn as Therrien.
