The only thing that slowed down McDavid was McDavid.
You're probably right though. McDavid just decided to take last night off because he just didn't feel like it. Musta had a headache.

Who said he wasn't?Why it's almost as if he's really damn good. Imagine taking Matthews over McDavid in a game 7.

Yes it was totally the Kings that made McDavid make a bad pass that led to their first goal. Kopitar used his jedi mind powers to make McDavid do a stupid play.View attachment 691061

People try to undermine him at every turn. He has one bad game and suddenly he's back on a plane with others.Who said he wasn't?
Fun fact, about half of those players mentioned haven't won a Game 7.Almost as if there are MULTIPLE GOOD PLAYERS that one could want in a game 7......
That's Yogurt, not Kopitar. To be fair, Drai had the Danault matchup last year and did not do well, McDavid had Kopitar. Last night McDavid had Danault and Drai had Kopitar and the result was roughly the same.Yes it was totally the Kings that made McDavid make a bad pass that led to their first goal. So now you're moving the goalposts to talk about a single play? Interesting tactic I guess.Yes it was totally the Kings that made McDavid make a bad pass that led to their first goal. Kopitar used his jedi mind powers to make McDavid do a stupid play.

Sorry didn't realize that's what i was doing. I think i'll leave this thread to you and those of your ilk.People try to undermine him at every turn. He has one bad game and suddenly he's back on a plane with others.
McDavid played a poor game by his standards. We still scored 3 without any contributions from him. I thought we were supposed to be a one player team?So now you're moving the goalposts to talk about a single play? Interesting tactic I guess.
Oh I know. Nobody could reasonably mistake Kopitar for someone else. That's Yogurt, not Kopitar. To be fair, Drai had the Danault matchup last year and did not do well, McDavid had Kopitar. Last night McDavid had Danault and Drai had Kopitar and the result was roughly the same.

Oh okay, good to know that you'll lose against an actual NHL team then...And? McDavid as won....what one? Honestly asking, I haven't followed his playoff career much....and fun fact, those players are just as adept as scoring in a game 7 as McDavid......weird how you wouldn't recognize that.
No....you guys were always a two player team......
Never said that either. In fact you can find my opinion on this very site arguing the opposite. Also has nothing to do with whether or not McDavid "stopped himself".McDavid played a poor game by his standards. We still scored 3 without any contributions from him. To be fair.. Leafs play tonight.Lol this thread has 2K comments.
The others are around 100.
Like I said, he played a poor game, as did his linemates. In fact I'd go as far to say that basically the entire top six played terribly outside of Draisatl. For two periods the Oilers were the better team, I don't think anyone would contest that, but they made some stupid plays at key times and lost the game.Never said that either. By all means keep going though. Let it all out.
Yeah, they're probably much worse. Why it's almost as if he's really, really good.LOL What? Honest question, where is your team without McDavid......and yes, you can ask that almost about any team (where is BOS without Pasta, TOR without Matthews, COL without MacKinnon etc) I mean, that's literally the level of superstar that some teams have, the difference is most other teams, have depth......you guys don't, without McDavid doing his thing, that's not a good team.
you think that will take over the rest?To be fair.. Leafs play tonight.
Last year is irrelevant let alone 2006 yeesh but, did they lose any of those games being up 2 with 10 to go and a dude scores with like 16 seconds to go?
How they lost last night, that could be crippling to them depending on their mental makeup. Game 2 is now MUST WIN for Edmonton
Divers should be assessed a minor penalty, forced to wear a hat that says "My momma raised aWhining about diving...
If you are not cheating, you are not trying.

Then again we almost won the game without any help from him, sooooo.....
Well, he was a bum last night. He actively caused one goal against off an unforced error. He had a poor game.Well, he didn't score, but I mean shit, if you only measure that, then sure, he was a bum last night....
Almost won......that's like for sure losing...right?
Also you guys need to chill. It's a long series, save some hatred for games 2-7.

And I mean yeah, we lost. Just spinning in the hamster wheel. The contenders of the league watched this game and laughed.
Yup, while giving zero thought to the reasons why. It's cool, guess the Oilers have this all buttoned up if the just decide they want to try. Good luck in round 2.Like I said, he played a poor game, as did his linemates. In fact I'd go as far to say that basically the entire top six played terribly outside of Draisatl. if the stick isn't making contact, then it's not a crosscheck. call it a rough if you want, but that's as much a penalty as the elbow to the face that was let slide for zero reason.this post is so embarrassing. his stick is IN THE SAME HAND THATS IN HIS FACE!
I didn't notice Danault at all last night. I did notice Gavrikov positively though.View attachment 691061
