Oilers took it to us. We held on well and capitalized on chances. Kinda of our MO for the season. Simply needed more effort the last 2 games and completely fell flat. Oilers wanted it more and it showed. Wasn't pretty hockey but it was entertaining.

Great series. Good for the Canucks seeing as they were supposed to be a fringe playoff team. A succesful season for both teams at this point IMO.

Canucks lost to the Oilers who are missing a top 6 winger, Ekholm and McDavid have been battling a bad flu, Skinner had an awful series with their franchise center having 1 goal this whole series.

It really is a refreshing and heart-warming show from the crowd vs throwing beer cans and rancid steak onto the ice. Just cements the idea that IQ goes up the closer you get to the coasts. Good series from both teams! Good hockey.

The better team won. Oilers were the better squad in at least 5 of the games.
Credit to the Canucks, they made it closer than they had any right to, being down Demko all series and down Boeser tonight

Is that why all the top players for the Canucks took 55 minutes to show up tonight?
I mean McDavid was a shell of his usual self in most of the series too. Hyman and Ekholm also not 100%. Every team is going to have players not at their best in a series

Hate to keep ragging on the guy, but if EP is even average in this series the Canucks probably move on relatively easily.

The Canucks don't quit so big credit to them, but my god do the Oilers love to beat themselves. Brown shooting the puck over the glass under little pressure, McLeod serving up a pizza to the Canucks most dangerous forward then Bouchard icing a puck for....reasons that led to the Hronek goal.
In any event, good series Canucks fans. The back and forth was entertaining if nothing else.

Oilers will need to play a full 60 from now on, actual playoff opponents in the next round. Can't believe how hard we made that on our ourselves, Van was the better team for like 5 periods in the series.
