lottery changed all non playoff teams now can get the 1st overall ;)

How does that feel, the Oilers literally sucked so bad that they had to change the draft process.

Sigh.

Fire Tambellini.

This franchise is a joke... Looking at the banners in the rafters, there's no way this franchise SHOULD be a joke. Management/ownership just settles.

Are you kidding? Hall's the one starting them

Agree and disagree...I have watched him skate away many times when he takes a little shot after the whistle that deserved a retaliation...he has fire and passion and I think he is a keeper...but little grit and toughness. Often hangs out on the perimeter or behind other players...skates away and circles back and allows himself to be pushed around...and dont get me wrong I would too if I saw Horcoff and Hemsky already halfway to the bench on a "line change"

Not slagging on Hall...he is all heart too..just young and a little scared. He needs help out there.

I decided to watch the Voice instead of the game. Turned to the game with 10 minutes left, score 3-2, Smyth was on the ice for 6 of the last 10 minutes and Hall tried that stupid toe drag on Weber. I might be wrong but the final minute had N.Schultz, Potter, Horcoff?? I'm pretty sure tank is on in full effect.

At least the Oilers didn't give up a ton of shots or get out shot.

And Doug MacLean thinks they can get a second round pick for Khabi at the TDL.

That's about all I got for positives tonight. :help:

I think I saw Smyth fall twice in the span of 5 seconds around Nashville's net. So useless.

And he was on the Eberle/RNH line??? What da ****?

I haven't watched a full Oilers game since the season opener. Zero game plan, no break out, no desire and no heart. This was what us fans sacrificed 5 years of horrible hockey for? **** you Lowe, **** you Tambellini and **** you Kreuger. I will not watch another game until changes are made.
Here's to feelin' good all the time.

Can somebody give me a heads up of what the 5 year rebuild exactly means.

Is it 5 years until playoffs?
5 years until we're out of the basement?
5 years until we're a contender?
5 years until we don't pick first overall?

So we played one period of hockey and expected to pull out the game?

**** this team, glad they lost. Would've been an atrocity to get something out of this miserable performance.

I'll call it out too. W T F is Mike Brown on this hockey club for? Did absolutely nothing in the first period and has been invisible over the last few games now. Was only noticeable in the first two periods for being -2 and horrible on 7mins of play.

Meet Mike Brown, your new secret agent of suck. Not like its any surprise.

Jones - will never be involved in a scrum again due to career threatening eye injury
To be fair, he "tried" to get in on that one but the linesman one-armed him to the ice.

Smyth - Rushes to get to scrum...so slow that the scrum is already over when he arrives.
Hilarious. I love Smyth.
Its hard to accept that he's become this bad :(

Yeah, a lot of people are guilty of massively over-hyping him.

Are our dmen Pejorative Slured or are they being coached to ring it around the boards 100 mph? Seriously, what do they expect our wingers to be able to do with that? All the opposing dman has to do is pinch down and our wingers are basically out of options.

I just don't even know anymore... this team is nothing but a complete and utter let down.

As appealing as the idea of drafting first overall so many times and letting them develop together is, they will not develop properly without some real scorers and hard working vets in the lineup to show them what it takes to score/win.

Ever wondery why these kids are continually trying the fancy junior moves that worked so well before? Its because thats the only way they know how to play. Who is going to teach them how to score at the nhl level on our team?

Not a single person on this team knows what it takes anymore. Hall tries that toe drag every single game, because he is a leading scorer on this team, and whatever he thinks will work, is probably best, because it has been working (Not the toe drag in particular but his play)

Now if we had a couple of 60-70 point vets who knew the game and played long enough to be consistent, then maybe there would be someone for these kids to look up to, or someone who could tell them what they're doing wrong that would actually be worth listening to. I can only imagine being a young guy leading your team in scoring, and someone like smyth or belanger telling you what you should be doing to get points. Instead, these kids step onto the team and are instantly the best players, and have nobody to take anything from.

Its absolutely infuriating that this team thinks its young stars can just drag these anchors along forever. They will hit slumps, like eberle and nuge this year, the idea is to have players who can pick up the slack when they do, and we don't.

If it weren't for gagner, i have no idea where this team would be.

From the start. Oh but he's an energizer bunny, well, this team had no energy through two periods. What if anything did Brown do about that? What has he done the last 4 games?

Why seriously are we even dressing him. I had to check a few times to see if he was Eberle dancing around out there. Not in a good way.

I doubt the Preds even noticed Brown was in the lineup tonight.

Sounds to me like you're talking about Ryan Smyth, except for the stats.

I love our top defensive pairing constantly make "break-out passes" high off the glass. Great stuff. If our top pairing can't even make a break-out... I don't even know anymore. Screw analyzing this crappy **** team. They suck, end of story.

About Jones: Whilst covering his eye...

About Smyth: Couldn't agree more...imagine what next year is going to look like...refresh my memory...do we still have the pleasure of Belanger to spark the offence next year as well???
