*These opinions are not endorsed by any Blues fan, and Bowman is an idiot for “sticking” it to the Blues. The Kap is hot garbage, he’ll look decent for 15 games, then will regress to Rodriguez from the Might Ducks 2.
If he can even be a fill in player who can look decent for 15 games at 1 million, that would be a great.

100%.

Kapanen also tends to start off hot with his new teams.

If he can come in and chip in a couple of goals while we have a guy like Arvidsson on the shelf, he's done his job.

We're not expecting a permanent top six forward out of the guy. It's a waiver claim for a guy making a million bucks, FFS. People on this site are insane.

How has Savoie been so far?
Decent. He needs the full year in the A though. I'd like to see him shooting more too.

Bakersfield is where offense goes to die so I wouldn't read too much into the raw numbers. Bako has one guy over ten points.

Don't let the next 20-30 games of amazing play fool you. As soon as he is done with his "New Team, New Me" feelings he'll be back to a 4th liner.

4th liner is all we really need him to be. Hopefully by the next 20 - 30 games, the rest of our wingers figure out how to score some damn goals again.

he can still skate pretty well.
occasionally puts himself in a good spot to score, but doesn't convert reliably.
bad puck handler and passer most of the time.
struggled to stay in the blues depleted line up over young guys and other 4th liners.

edmonton might be able to squeeze something out of him, but he's a mostly empty tube of toothpaste so we wish you luck getting the last few dollops out.

He’s warm body. Which we need right now. No risk.

1. He helps replace their speed they lost I guess.
2. His speed doesn’t do anything because he doesn’t forecheck or create turnovers or go to the net.
3. I don’t know if they really needed another bad defensive forward
Aside from Jeff Skinner their forwards generally are responsible defensively.

Regarding Kapanen- he’s a warm body. Don’t overly like the player but given the injury situation it’s whatever
