All they need is a warm body while Arvidsson and Hyman are out.
Ah! I get it. He will score a few wicked goals leaving you salivating for more. The guy is definitely skilled, but lacks the motivation to be consistent.

It's a free asset. If the burst of offense lasts 10 games, the claim.was good
I'm just being a butthead. He is a skilled guy who will frustrate you.

Always expected more from this guy. Lots of tools, but he's a perennial disappointment.

I don't think hockey has ever been that important to this guy.

He's like the antithesis of his father. Sami was a gritty, hard-working player with good hockey IQ, but average skill and undersized, however he consistently performed above his abilities and lack of size through hard work and understanding of the game. Sami was a very versatile player who could play on any line, and was very defensively responsible (even played D on a couple occasions IIRC). Kasperi is blessed with natural talent and god tier skating ability but he just never seemed to have that same passion and drive for the game, he doesn't like getting involved with the gritty side of the game and still makes the mistakes he did as a 21-22 year old. It almost feels like Kasperi just thought the game would come easy to him and he'd be a stud but it never worked out that way.

well..... he's very fast. maybe he gets some puck luck and helps Edmonton a little. fine injury replacement pretty sure he's 1x1m right?
nothing to worry about with that one

Yep. His dad was all heart and brains. His kid is all wheels and stupid.

The way Sullivan shit on Kapanen, I'm surprised he still stuck around in the NHL. He did a number on this lad with some absolute brain dead usage and zero understanding of what Kapanen did In Toronto before he came over. Essentially barely used him on the PK and would only try him with 2 centres - Malkin or Carter.

I don't care for the Oilers, but I want to see Kappy rebound. He's good on the PK, fast, was good for 40pts but yeah, hope this means he's turning it around.

Edmonton on a three-game win streak and Kap has 1-1-2 in that time. He was especially noticeable tonight, with three hits and a couple nice blocks to go with his goal. Fitting in very well so far and starting to build chemistry with McDavid.
That’s nice, you act like we haven’t seen this same story from Kapanen 100 times now. He’ll have a few good games and then disappear for long stretches. We are all aware of who he is by now.
