As I said, didn't account for any games missed due to injury nor account for shortened seasons. So grain of salt. But even with your numbers taking those into account AND eliminating all his PP time, he performs amazingly 64% of the time. Why is this somehow a bad thing given the team we have been icing the past several seasons and the constant reoccuring issues we lament about not having complimentary pieces outside of McDrai? If anything, it's just showing how poor our depth has been and continues to be.
Also, I'm not sure what the obsession with his 5v5 numbers are or what he does away from McDrai. Why are we cruicifying a guy for performing well on the PP or because he has elite options on our top two forward lines?
No one is arguing he is some transcendant talent. He isn't being paid like one. He is performing more than admirably with what he is paid. Why should we fault him for being productive with McDrai and not with the litteral scrubs we have had on our bottom 6 the past several seasons?
