His usage in Calgary was really messed up. He was signed for the top 6 but Peters played him in the bottom 6 and off wing.

I doubt he'll get much time on the top unit, as I'd rather have McDavid, Draisatl, and Nuge there. Chiasson or Kassian are also better as net presence (plus they give you the added dimension of being RH shots). However having Neal as a focal point on the second unit, and having him and Gagner being the driving force there is a massive upgrade.

How slow are Neal’s wheels?

Neal might be a better skater than Looch (as far as edge work, mobility and skating talent in general) but Neal might be similar speed or slightly slower than looch in a straight away foot race. edge work, mobility, quickness and general skating talent is more important than flat out speed. hard to say, i don't generally key in too much on Neal when watching his team play.
