Hahaha. I jokingly proposed this after the flames scratched Neal for the final game of their historic choke.

Win in my opinion. He could rebound and find his scoring touch, if he’s garbage let Seattle take him.

This opinion may not be a popular one on here. But, as a life long Wings fan, I think Holland will do wonders with the Oilers. I think this is a great trade for you guys.
He is a much better fit than Lucic.
To be honest, I doubted him and his moves a lot in Detroit, and he proved me wrong 9/10 times.
I can tell you one thing, Holland knows how to build a team.
Just like players sometimes need to move on in order to get a fresh start, the same applies to management. Give him time.
Gonna be interesting to see what he does under a different ownership.
I get the feeling that he has a chip on his shoulders and he's gonna build a roster that will be able to compete for the cup for a long time in Edmonton.

Forgot about expansion, Looch has to be protected unless he waives, Neal can be exposed.

Even at 10% retention and any pick lower than a third, this is a clear win for Holland.

First time posting in a while.
Lucic was a bad fit period, so pretty happy, think Neill would be a improvement at the very least. I've noticed that Holland seems to have a set plan, he can't fix everything, so he has concentrated on improving our bottom 6, and is now starting to work his way up.

Considering the mess he was handed, so far our new GM has done a remarkable job. Next off season, a a lot of the cap frees up as well, so I would say we all have to be patient with this teams performance this year. He has had very little cap room to work with (thank you chia) and yet the bottom six is a pretty major improvement (not that it is that much of a accomplishment considering how bad it was last year) . Defense is lacking to say the least, but with all that young talent coming, it really was the bottom 6 that sank this team last year (especially the PK)

Bravo.

I hope Luci doesn't go back to his beastly 20G and 30A 50pts mode again and starts hitting and fighting again.

Otherwise, the fresh start will no doubt be good for both players. Neal hasn't been good for 1.5 seasons.. hopefully he finds his hands.
