Tampa was the worst team in the playoffs, so not a good measuring stick.

Tampa Bay would have missed the playoffs if the season had gone on for 1-2 weeks longer.

The 8th-10th teams were gaining on them the last month of the season, and Tampa Bay was on a downward spiral.

I am lost at people who think Florida is getting killed 5 v 5. Florida might still be in trouble because their PK can't keep this up but they play well at 5 v 5, have for many years.

5v5 has been even at worst. At best, the Panthers have been the better team with an xG advantage through 2 periods in both games before turtling with the lead in the 3rd

There is no historical truth to this statement. In fact it has been the opposite, leafs have crumbled under the slightest pressure with this core.

I see it that way too so far. Panthers have been turtling which is skewing the stats, however, in this game the leafs definitely controlled more of the play than the prior game.

I know Leafs haters don't understand this, but the Leafs have Boston's first round pick this year.

Even if they lose, they now have a higher pick because Florida won. Hence, wanting Florida to win that series.

If Boston won that series and the Leafs lose, now they have a lower pick.

Fun fact: Fans want certain teams to lose when they own that team's first round pick.
