Andrew Copp - time to step up….

Shoot the puck early and often …

I need a lot more from him …

Right now Strome has outplayed him .

I mean that’s certainly A take.
It’s also one I’ve never heard before, especially if you actually watched the game.
Copp hasn’t scored a ton this series but he’s played well, he’s had far more chances and put himself in good positions frequently.

I’m stating the obvious but getting that first goal is so crucial. It’s clear the Hurricanes game is to get out to an early lead and then play smothering defense. They can beat this team on the road.

Pucks on net, play good defense, and you got one of the best goalies in the world behind them. Let’s f’n go.

If these were our only options which would you prefer:

Option 1: Lose in game 7, keep the 1st round pick.

Option 2: Win game 7, get swept in the ECF, and lose 1st round pick

I would really really like to take the train to MSG on Wednesday. I'm taking option 2. We got enough kids.

Option 1: Vets shit the bed
Option 2: We win and are led by the kids... in the process gaining priceless experience

P.S. we're a different team at home.

Not only that, their defense filled with guys like Skjei, Cole, Smith make some questionable decisions on pinches when they are behind. When they are ahead they just fall back to the NZ. But when the Canes are behind they are really vulnerable to odd man rushes. As evident by the kid line getting 2 2 on 1s in the same shift.

What happened the last time the Rangers won in Carolina? Our goalie stood on his head and stole us a win. Same thing can happen tonight; score first then let Shesterkin see the shots.

Option 2 for sure. More success for the kids to soak in, and give them a chance to see what hockey is like when there's only four battered and bruised teams left fighting.

There are a lot of injured players playing out there. Fox, Panarin, Copp and LIndgren amongst them. Goodrow, Kakko and Motte all recently back too. Probably a few more that I have not heard of as well.
Gotta think Svechnikov is injured too, he’s been a little quiet. Think it was mentioned on the broadcast Jarvis is dealing with something as well. Also think Raanta is playing through something just based on his body language (maybe fatigue).

This is why I’m more than ok with “option 1” presented above.

These guys are obviously injured and it will take a miracle to beat TBL and COL in their current state. It’ll be fun to pursue that miracle for sure but the first in this draft can be an important piece in this window, and f***, I just hate Ryan Strome so much.
