Carolina isn't getting good chances at ES. They're not getting Shesterkin (or Swayman/Ullmark, really) to work for it. Not forcing lateral movement, not forcing them to make amazing saves. Theyre getting outworked by the Rags in the ozone. Combine it with a lifeless powerplay, not a good sign against Tampa.
And the Rags are playing the Canes defenseman very aggressively at the blue line in the ozone. The Canes lack of offensive dynamism at the blue line is getting exposed.

Yeah it’s not been great hockey, I’ve watched it all. I’m still not turning off the game in the 1st period. I’m here for the good and the bad weather. I’m not a fair weather fan. Comebacks are the most exciting thing in sports.
