Why so much Iggy hate? Really? He's transitioning from his career long position to another, on a line with guys that aren't really known for passing with great execution(Geno and Neal). Plus, dude is old...he'll produce when given the opportunity, sadly, I just don't feel it's going to be in an OT because of his age...chill out, yinz need to chill out..

He's horrible. Guerin was way better when we had him at the end of his career

I'm frightened beyond comprehension when I see 15 on the ice. Good thing he's barely playing, might break 10 minutes if it goes to 3OT. Why bother dressing him if you're scared ****less to use them him even sparingly?

So this is actually a really ****ing awesome game. I bet you'd all love it if you didn't have a rooting interest.

so we should all be happy that this game is close when the Pens allowed the game to get tied from a horribly handled POWER PLAY?

oh, i forgot. we're not real fans if we don't just acknowledge that this game is still amazing even though it should be over with the Pens winning in regulation 1-0.

Neal - Malkin - Iginla makes me more nervous than any other line in Penguins history.

The ice was so bad at the end of that period. So many passes just bobbling around and over sticks. Both teams could have finished it if a pass to the front of the net hadn't jumped over a stick.

Have no idea how Neil can hook Malkin so badly that he loses his stick because of it and there was no call. I understand the concept of letting them play, but that is just letting a player who gets away with murder anyway get away with more.

Iggy has had a 'bad' game...but not an actively bad game, he just isn't producing.

It's just dumbfounding that he's on that line...and everyone hates Bylsma for that far more than Iggy. The one good chance Iginla had in the game the puck was on his off-side. If he were a lefty on the left wing he gets a good scoring chance, but as a righty he was left out to dry...which is just about every single time the puck gets passed to him. It's just...dumbfounding. It's really the only word for it. Get Iginla off the Malkin unit so he's not just 'that guy who looks out of place'. He can't keep up with Malkin and Geno keeps passing it to set up a lefty shot on the left wing. He's gotta play with Sid.

Neal/Iginla-Malkin-Iginla/Neal has too much talent to be this bad. They're misused.

Gotta love the D change with 10 seconds left to go. Dan loves living on the edge. Blew a scoring opp too because they weren't in the zone.

I really hope we win. We've so severly outplayed Ottawa in this game. It would be such a shame.

I expect we'll exchange PPs in this OT now. Probably one for them first. That will be all it takes IMO.

Our fourth line is the one that makes me nervous. They've actually been alright this game but they have a bad tendency to just get pinned in our end for 2 minutes at a time. They were by far the worst culprit with that all year.

It's mostly due to Tanner Glass being useless.

Overreaction much? I never said that anyone should be happy, just that the game was really exciting. You mean to tell me that if you didn't have a rooting interest you wouldn't enjoy it?

This. I desperately want to see the lines changed in this next period.

You won't find a better one for 4.5.

I'd pay Dupuis 4.5 well before I would pay Iggy.
It's like I said before we got him. I wouldn't give up significant assets (plural) for the player he is now. It was a good deal for us to be sure, but people were expecting something else while in watching him the past two seasons I saw the decline. Especially in speed. I feel the same way now. I wouldn't give up significant assets to keep him, and whether or not there is a better option at 4.5, it is still a significant chunk of cap space for a player who simply isn't worth it any more.

And he's a top 5 favorite all time of mine.
