This is just nonsense though. He was literally the only player on the team with a positive goal differential going into this game. You guys have a raging hate boner. We get it, he isn’t a golden boy 1st round pick or the prize at the deadline and he’s a Euro so he’s the problem.

I don’t give a shit about Bertuzzi and it would be really dumb to give that glass asshole a bag.
Positive goal differential?? Clearly this means shit

I remember when posters were begging for Timo "No points in 8 playoff games" Meier
I guess Boston should have dumped Bergeron when he went 0 in 13 games when he was 24.

Timo literally led the team in shots tonight (again) and was one of the few forwards actually creating out there. Literally near the bottom of the shit list tonight.

Lindy has to do what's best for the team....Luke is the X factor right now. An elite one right now.
Inserting a rookie into the lineup after getting our asses kicked the first two games worked in the first round. Obviously defense is not goalie, but who knows maybe his skating and ability with the puck will help spring our offense, which has been nonexistent so far.

Timo isn't just suddenly a playoff problem though. Since joining the Devils he's paced for like a 40 point season.

That QO is going to be a disaster.

Bergeron would be more akin to Nico and I don’t think anyone is looking to get rid of him…?

Bratt is a completely different story. He’s useless if he’s not producing. One dimensional. The question becomes is he worth long-term commitment and cap space, or is there an alternative that’s cheaper while also bringing other needed elements to the table?

We are trying to build a winning team here, not just collect a bunch of second tier point producers with no regard for anything else.

Oh just stop with the over-dramatization of what’s being said. No one is talking about moving Nico or Timo. You’re throwing a tantrum because people are questioning whether we should retain Bratt, and you refuse to hear that it’s a multitude of factors playing into it not just a handful of playoff games.
I’ve yet to hear any good arguments. Mostly bullshit about him being one dimensional and we need a different element, whatever that means. There are actual one dimensional players in this league. You saw about 3 or 4 of them last series. Learn puck, Jesper Bratt ain’t that, sorry.

Bratt isn’t one dimensional? Please explain. When the going gets tough, like right now, what is he contributing?

We need to make an adjustment and try to unplug their forecheck. Luke's skill set fits that

Funny how many of the same people who want interior players are the ones that shit on Meier who, checks notes, is one of the best interior players in the league.
Yeah I’m not shitting on Meier long-term. I do think it’s fair to criticize the completel lack of goals though. At some point you gotta deliver. Even in the regular season a nine game goal drought is bad.

Win game 3 and move on to game 4.

Everything that has happened so far this postseason is meaningless to the next game.

Yes. If you're not down 3-0, then whoever wins last has the momentum. Need to go get it. I wish it was that easy, but it is the truth,

After Palat came through after a 6-month wait, Im not done waiting on Meier yet. And, has been said over and over, he has contributed in other ways. But if you want $10 million, you need to find the back of the net more than he has so far with us. If he ends up scoreless in the playoffs (and I hope he doesnt of course), then spending 10mm there instead of going all-out for a top-end net-minder (if there's one to get) seems like the wrong-move. Let's hope he gets going. There's still time.

Series isn’t over. However, when you’ve gone down 2-0 and had your ass handed to you in all facets of the game both times (and it’s the second series in a row that you’ve gotten into this kind of hole)…the odds of winning four of the next five against the second best team in the league are not at all in your favor.

I just want to see our best players show up and make this competitive.
