Bratt was goalied by Shesterkin???? That’s some revisionist BS. I can count on one hand the number of dangerous chances he created or was a part of.

A 73 point player is not a 70 point player…like wtf?? Those three extra points put him into a different tier?

Ridiculous level of apologism.

Bratt had a chance to create chances last series but he curled a lot and looked for someone trailing.

Or another way to look at it: How we thought the team was going to play, vs how they are playing.

You’re right bud, the 4% on ice shooting percentage is very sustainable and exactly what we should expect from Bratt every playoff run. Your old doomer act was less annoying.
So I’m a doomer because I think it might be in the team’s best interest to replace a forward that I think is too one dimensional and who’s new contract may not be a good use of limited cap space when taking into account other players that need big money?

Once again…if you you say so, “bud”.

At the end of the day 15 out of 16 playoff teams are left feeling like shit when it’s all said and done. I just wish this team had a competitive series and wasn’t down 2-0 with 2 blowouts again.

They haven’t won one of the first two games of a series since the 2012 conference finals against the Rangers.

two games.. i actually was hoping someone would defend him. as i said incredible Numbers and he's very young. I'm not judging him other ( his effect in the team in this series only) than the possiblity of the devils repeating what they did against the rangers. i don't see it was curious if you thought what might happen. as Lindy has to think ling term but trade deadline vets are thinking now . peace..

No, it’s more the concern trolling about if our stars can do it in da playoffs as if that’s some legitimate thing to be asking about Hughes or Nico or even Timo and Bratt. No, all of these players that play different styles can’t do it. Blow it up.

And the nameless player you’re wanking off to that will replace Bratt will magically blow pucks past Igor and this Canes team like it was nothing. Got it.
It’s more than just playoff production we are talking about . If we give Bratt 8 mil , we have zero cap to add anyine . Maybe this roster is nkt the perfect setup . I personally would prefer to use the money earmarked for Bratt on a different style olayer with different Sp attributes . We habe seen that we need a mkre interio rforward . How can we add that if we pay Bratt 8 mil. I’d rather use that to go to a olayer of a different skill set better suited for playoff hockey / can win board battles more often than not plus score .

I mean...You just can't forget that half of the guys on Carolina have played a f*** ton of playoff hockey and have been playing the same system for 4+ years. And frankly, they're just playing a smarter brand of hockey and have for a long time.

The top guys on our team have been winging it for 4+ years. It's gonna take a minute to become some behemoth and I doubt Ruff, Brunette, McGill, etc. will be around for that time.

They shouldn’t be getting embarrassed like this and three of our best players should not be goal-less in nine playoff games. The 2018 devils looked more competitive against the Tampa bay lightning, and that was two teams with a much bigger gap in quality. We finished one point behind the canes in the standings, there’s no reason to be getting blitzed like this. The only somewhat valid excuse is the inability to recover from an emotionally draining long series against our most hated rival. But even that isn’t enough to give a pass to our best players being invisible.

Don’t end a great season on such a whimper. Our stars need to show they have something to give when the games matter most. I don’t want “that” question hanging over this team for all of next season.

I remember when people said that playoff hockey is no different than the regular season and everyone exaggerates the difference .
Even for the regular sewosn , we need to add a more interior forward or two .
I remember when posters were begging for Timo "No points in 8 playoff games" Meier

Oh just stop with the over-dramatization of what’s being said. No one is talking about moving Nico or Timo. You’re throwing a tantrum because people are questioning whether we should retain Bratt, and you refuse to hear that it’s a multitude of factors playing into it not just a handful of playoff games.
