It's okay to ride and die in the playoffs with one goalie and Vitek has been a dumpster fire in every game so far, other than game 6 at MSG when he came in for 2 minutes and faced exactly 0 shots lol.

Our typical play style doesn't match well with them at all. We score primarily off the rush and Carolina is the best rush defense in the league.

We need to adjust and we haven't at all

He’s a 70 point player. In today’s NHL that’s akin to a 60 point guy just a few years ago. He’s a small perimeter player on a team that already has plenty of that element. He’s been a ghost in these playoffs. He’s demanding big money at a time when a different forward who produces more goals and brings more needed elements also needs a contract.

Those are the reasons. It’s not just based on a few playoff games.

Does he “need” to go? Idk…I think it needs to a consideration depending on who you can get to replace him.
