What does that tell you about what we need to change.

The top three lines are rush centric, that line is dump and chase bump and grind. Carolina is game planning for the rush. So of course the one line with the different offensive strategy has success.

Vitek had a very nice regular season, but he sure as hell is not a playoff goalie.

Nor is he a true # 1.
He is way too shaky right now. Way too much extra movement and overplaying every shot. He makes himself smaller in the net than he is.

Lindy is a f***ing idiotic putting Vitek in as soon as Schmid gives up a few goals. Vanecek looks completely lost.

Agreed.

Putting him in the next game is almost as much throwing in the towel as putting Blackwood in there.

Of course, I'm exaggerating a little bit, but even with the shellacking's, Schmid has been eeons better than Vitek these playoffs.

I think he's basically throwing the towel if he starts Vitek the next game.

I would basically treat Schmid like Brodeur and Vanecek like Scott Clemmensen for the rest of these playoffs. You're not starting Clemmensen or Hedberg over Brodeur in a playoff game, no matter how bad he was beaten the last two games.

Just way too much linear thinking when it comes to Bratt. Obviously finding a 70 point player to replace him is not likely to happen. But if you can land a guy who is harder on the puck, more physical, plays better D, and can still maybe contribute 40-50 points, that can very much make us a better team, especially if our other young players continue improving.

70 point player don’t mean sh** if he pees down his leg in the playoffs
