It would make our PP better and we would get more speed. We lack speed on our backend.

I responded to your initial post, I have no idea why you keep saying the Rangers are terrible, they objectively aren't and people saying they are aren't correct.

The Rangers had been there before and we won 4 out of the last 5 to take the series away from them. This isn't some small feat for this young Devils group.

The Canes have been here before too and play an extremely structured brand of hockey. It's a challenge for sure, but this isn't over.

What I'm more trying to say is you can't really say the Rags are terrible but at the same time pretend the devils are some super team. Several people shitting on the Rags but it took the devils 7 games to win. So...it's either maybe the Rags are not actually terrible, or the devils are not that good either. It doesn't take 7 games to win with a good team against a terrible team (3 of which were blowout losses).

One “excuse” I will point out though is that historically the devils have sucked in the series after beating the rangers. I think playing the rangers is too emotionally draining and I think the team has a hard time recovering in the next round. Just a theory.
