One “excuse” I will point out though is that historically the devils have sucked in the series after beating the rangers. I think playing the rangers is too emotionally draining and I think the team has a hard time recovering in the next round. Just a theory.

So far they haven’t done anything to disprove it, they went down 0-3 the other two times and are well on their way to an easy 0-2 now
