I never thought I would say this about 12-14 game minutes ago, but the power play actually kept us from looking even worse. We've glued in our end, especially since the last penalty.

Stuck on a glue trap

Make some adjustments before it's 1-0.

Don't wait until we get scored on.

They started well, but then they f***ed up some outlet passes and then the Canes were able to pounce. You have to make and handle the passes…and frankly need to cut down on the stretch passes. Every thing needs to be clean and crisp. They got some looks when they were.

We played good first half of the period. Need to get back to that . They are forechecking as agressive as shit . How can we not get odd man rushes once we break out ? If they have 3 or 3 deep and pinching ? Go with the old log it out pass . It’s worked for us before when under siege

Devils should keep the wingers closer to the half boards and defenseman. This is true in general but especially against a team that likes to cycle along the boards and use their defenseman for goal scoring.

I thought we dominated the first 1/2 of the period ? Seemed like it to me.
If we want to win this series , we HAVE TO get our PP going. Still not putting it on net enough .
