Expected goals in sequence has a major flaw in terms of “deserving” things. Order of operations matters. Florida has been playing with a lead. There is less incentive to expend energy on trying to score when you can simply capitalize on your opponent’s mistakes. Florida’s forecheck has been in full operational capability the whole 3rd period. Florida’s forecheck was clearly deserving of this win.

Florida deserved the win because they're paying 10M+ for their goalie, but posters are arguing Tampa was the better team despite losing the series last series because they had more shots.

Leafs had more shots, and now they're arguing Florida is the better team. Goalposts keep moving, that's what I'm calling out.
