Eh way better is pushing it.. I think our offense is slightly better 5v5, but we give up more goals than them 5v5. The entire regular season stats back that up as well as this first round.
As far as forechecking goes and just general pace of play. We bring it way better 5v5. Toronto really does get by most of the time with their big 4 and their pp. Tampa dictated the play for most of the series.

Would love to see them beat the Leafs, but honestly, after last season I just want to see them avoid being swept.
Like the last series, seeing the team play competitive playoff hockey is more than I was expecting. Although, a little part of me wants to see Bob go on a run and shut everything down in net.

Fair enough, I won't argue with you there since I didn't watch the Toronto/Tampa series beyond a period here and there. But what I did see seemed pretty even.

It was pretty close. Tampa outplayed the Leafs for a nice chunk of it, but just wasn't good enough. Vasi looked human.

How about this, you are trying to compare Barkov to Tkachuk, and anyone would tell you right off the bat that Katchuck is something very special, generational, Ala McDavid, you can pretty much put the whole NHL against McDavid and Tkatchuck and I will bet you will end up disappointed, beside being very happy to have Tkachuk in your team at the same time you should embrace Barkov for what he brings, all the intangibles that are unmatched, scoring is just one of them, and if he gets trapped on the boards, it is because he demands that kind of attention when 2 guys are needed to strip him from the puck.

How about this. That was a whole lot of word salad you just typed.

As much as I like Tkachuk, he isn't generational.
