Don't really get the love-affair with Bertuzzi around here...

Good offensive player, with attitude and intangibles... But the guy is a trainwreck defensively and becomes as stupid as a Bruins AND a Leafs fans combined as soon as he plays in his own zone !

Good offensive player, good forechecker, but I really think he would be one of our worst two-way forwards...

Barky may need a disturber on his line, but don't give him another soft and clueless defensive player, please !

The Panthers absolutely got out played last night.

But what people are ignoring is essentially what PoMo said, these guys didn't have their legs. They flew to Florida after game 5, back to Boston after 6, straight to Toronto after 7 and have been playing every other day till yesterday.

And the Boston series was a car crash. Just hits after hits after hits.

These 2 days should be good for their bodies.

Will they a actually look better Sunday? Probably not but that's par for this season lol.

Let's go! WE TAKE THOSE

I’ve seen several good plays by Barkov but I guess that’s because I don’t have a filter that picks out the times when he doesn’t do something amazing. He needs to play better but so does Bob, Ek, Gudas, Fors, Bennett, Tkachuk, and the whole forth line. Oh and Verh and Duke. And M Staal. And Mahura.
I like how you see the game, the trash talk is so high school like, you don't have to give nicknames to point out a bad play, maybe the opposite player did a great a play, these happen in a game hundreds of time, but we sit here at home calling names our players, armchair quaterbacking, pretending that it is all so easy.

Damn and i thought Bruins fans were rough, these Maple Leaf fans need to take a chill pill. I'm pretty sure not all of them are like this, but like on every fanbase, theres rotten eggs.

The bigger the fanbase, the bigger the shitters on it.
As someone living in Toronto, this is the truth.

There are some Leafs fans that are great to talk hockey with, but a lot of them, if you talk to them long enough, this weird cockiness starts to come out. Again, not all of them, but some of them. There's a lot of great hockey fans in this city.

However, with the sheer number of them it's inevitable that the loud ass holes will make the most noise. That combined with that cockiness with no merit to it, ya they get pretty insufferable lol.

I’ve never sat and listened to a whole coaches presser after a game. I could sit there and listen to him read the phone book, and I think I’d be locked in.

Forgetting about the way he speaks, the knowledge for the game, his teams strengths and weaknesses, the oppositions strength and weaknesses, etc., is on point. Further proves the difference between him and Brunette.
Yeah. And our resident PoMo haters will discredit him by saying Bob right away.

But PoMo should get credit for the following

Style of play that he made the players follow all year. It's paying off now

Montour- he was put in a position to succeed all season and it has carried over. This is one of the biggest hitters on PoMo's resume.

The lines - Boston series turned around when Cousins went to the 2nd and Luo-Lun-Rein was the 3rd

Putting Bob in Game 3 in the 3rd period was also a great move. It gave Bob more game time action to help him get into better form by game 5

These three things got us through Boston and has worked alongside Bobrovsky to give us a 2-0 lead now.

And for as rough as our power play has been, it's actually over 20%

We've had 2 this series against Toronto (0 for 2), but the delayed penalty was essentially a power play.

Compare that to last year's enormous 3.2%

Cats should come home to a hero’s welcome and blow the barn down take game 3 and that would essentially kill things off. Nice time for a break not too long but long enough to get our legs back.
On another note I hate the Leaf fans worse than the Bruins fans…way worse these guys are the poster children for arrogance.

Also, as one of Barkov's biggest critics in Round 1, he's really stepped up his game huge.

Goal aside, last night he was beyond stellar. Only wish he was a bit better in the faceoff dot but he made some strong defensive plays all night. Tied up Acciari's stick in front for what would've been a glorious chance for Cookie. He's constantly playing very low in his own zone and his defensive plays are more and more noticeable each game. He literally just takes the puck off guys whenever he wants to, it's hilarious to watch.

He's still prone to a couple mistakes, he is human (had a soft clear last night but Tkachuk had a REALLY bad one in the 3rd), but overall he's contributing so much to this team right now. I do believe in Round 1 he was struggling but according to reports he was sick so that all adds up. He looks ready to go.

7 Points in his last 5 games while shutting down the opposition, not bad folks.

“Game 6 was unbelievable down there I can’t wait to go home and hear the loud Panthers crowd. “ Anton Lundell

Let’s bring that noise you rats !!!!!!!!!

Bob was great last night, but I think people aren't giving the Panthers' skaters enough credit. I thought they straight up beat Toronto in game one, plastered the Leafs in period 2 last night, and a lot of the 'deserve to win o meter' bullshit is heavily skewed by the Panthers turtling with a lead in the third.

Just find a way to win 2 of 5.

Barkov has finally started playing a bit more like the old Barkov. Still, even when he wasn’t as good as last two games, he was still good. What this has contributed is that the first line is able to hold the opposition line down really well and they’re contributing almost like a first line should. So they’re no liability at all. Who else bu Barkov would do well with Duke? No one on this team.

So the freedom this gives the coach is to put the second and third lines together just like we’ve seen. So indirectly - whether people want to admit it or not - Barkov being able to carry the first line at least adequately, is helping the other two lines be more productive, by not needing to mess up line chemistry and leave holes.
