Benny kinda trips over Knies right leg and they fall backwards. Benny braces the fall with his left arm and doesn’t use any force to push down Knies with his right arm. His right arm doesn’t lift off but doesn’t push down either.

The Bunting crosscheck was worse but he got called for it.

I had some leaf friends over last night, good party :D

Before the game started, it was kind of loud at my house so I couldn't watch the intro on CBC. So I looked it up today.
If you like nine inch nails, and the song the hand that feeds, this is awesome! What a fitting song to use for the intro; Toronto is a hockey universe, the hand that feeds. Florida is biting it, hard.

As was Barky with just one goal, he has to put up at least 3 per game :sarcasm:
He had my favourite play this game: race for the puck inside our D zone towards the blue line, he KNEW that he would not be able to play the puck with his stick because the TOR would tie it up. So he just positioned his body well and played it out with his skate. You could see it a mile away that he would do that. Those little plays make him one of the best.
My favourite play this game was when he scored a game tying goal in an important playoff game and celebrated like he just had scored his ninth of the evening in some god forsaken backyard game against two old chickens.

Nylander needs better coverage, he had numerous prime chances
Like the Bruins fan (forget name) said here earlier - Nylander needs to be checked every time it’s possible. I think he’s spot on.

You all know what happens to a team that "should have won" the first two games but didnt? I'll tell you, the next two games they will be outplayed "due to unfair penalties". Panthers break out the brooms baby!!

Well, here’s the thing. There isn’t necessarily such a huge difference between winning 4-3 versus winning 4-0. Like all experienced coaches say, winning the last one is always hardest, no matter what.

Boston could have (maybe would have) won the series 4-1 if they’d been mentally ready to do so. I hope Panthers now are. Avoiding prior disappointments fuels that mental desire.

I think this series has little to do with the Panthers. It's the Leafs who will be inconsistent and feeling pressure not the Cats. Whatever happened in Boston isn't relevant here. Cats can put this in cruise control if they can stay out of the box.

"Refs don't favor the Leafs". These mother f***ers are dropping their arms when they remember the mandate the NHL sent out before round 2

He doesn't fit anywhere outside of the top 6 as hes a liabilty anywhere else. 2nd a 3rd line is basically set and that leaves him one spot where he has continued to struggle to produce when it matters most.

He is a one dimensional 30g guy for team that needs goal scoring, however we score just fine without him, so even while a value at 3million he is a luxury and he takes up a roster spot better suited for a younger developing player Like Denisenko or Hepo or Mackie.

Moving his 3million and picking up a guy like Bertuzzi who has a better all-around game and can PK at 5million is a better use of his 3million dollar cap hit and better fit for what this team wants to do.

Rather see guys like Deni and Mackie rotating in and developing and not rotting on the 4th lines or worse get no NHL playing time because we have to slot Duke somewhere when we know come playoffs he will just be dead weight anyways. I am thinking of the most efficient way to make use of limited cap space and also get these young players some playing/developememt time that have a more complimentary skill set than Duke.
Young guys won’t be rotating in tho. That’s not maurice. And injuries will happen. And the team needs that speed. If u can trade him and upgrade to a bertuzzi then ya obviousky I’m all for it. But people just wanna get rid of him for nothing because “he sucks”

I’ve never sat and listened to a whole coaches presser after a game. I could sit there and listen to him read the phone book, and I think I’d be locked in.

Forgetting about the way he speaks, the knowledge for the game, his teams strengths and weaknesses, the oppositions strength and weaknesses, etc., is on point. Further proves the difference between him and Brunette.
Coaches look good when they’re goaltender is the best player

Panthers need to continue to step on the leafs throat game 3. Come out with a good start, and the crowd can take you from there. Bob is playing out of this world! Just win game 3 and I think good things will follow...

Now in a totally non-related question, I was wondering if there's any good strip clubs in Sunrise? Asking for a friend...

Duke is best in the regular season - that he missed 80% of. That is the sad part about him. He would have been a huge help and we would not have to wait until the last game to know if we make it.

But at this point, he should definitely be exchanged as you point out - Bertuzzi would be a great choice. The team has shown it can survive without Duke in the regular season - even if just barely - but he is just so weak in the POs.

Apparently you have to talk to Sam Bennett. Seems he knows how to show friends a good time so they even want to move there

if you like this i highly recommend the NIN double album The Fragile.. People really don't understand how much Trent Reznor has accomplished... soundtracks, games... Its not just closer/hurt...

Good to hear our medical team has cleared Lomberg to resume skating following his upper body injury which has no impact on his skating ability.

you need your hand to tie your skates... nobody gonna help you with that shit

Damn and i thought Bruins fans were rough, these Maple Leaf fans need to take a chill pill. I'm pretty sure not all of them are like this, but like on every fanbase, theres rotten eggs.

The bigger the fanbase, the bigger the shitters on it.

That sucks about Hornqvist guys, I'm glad to hear you lot seem to be big fans of him. I kinda lost track of him and didn't realize he was having concussions and that's what was keeping him out. Your team reminds me of 2016 Penguins and I love watching it. Smothering forecheck
