- Franchise that no one in sports media talks about [yes, we have a chip on our shoulder - I admit it] vs franchise that sports media doesn't shut up about, even when the topic in question has nothing to do with them...
In fairness, in a Cup winning season, only the homeless Arizona had lower game cost than Florida. That's a very direct reflection on support / demand in their own area. If you aren't getting talked about in your own house, you aren't likely to be talked about elsewhere. That has nothing to do with product or quality but you likely have to sustain success for a while to gain more foothold.

I’m really sick of seeing Marchand in the playoffs. I hope he isn’t a huge factor.

The leafs can win this series if they want it. Our top skill guys are better than theirs. But it’s going to be a war and our top guys have to have the playoff performances of their lives
He’s gonna be a huge factor, especially after the series he just had.

That 3rd line is going to be a huge problem for the Leafs

That's just it. People are also assuming the Leafs stars will not be a factor like last time as well. They were very much a factor round 1.

Leafs recipe for winning this series

Stolarz has to steal at least 1 game
Leafs stars need to have a night 1 game
2 full team games
The Leafs stars were a huge factor against the Lightning in round 1 two years ago as well and then faded against the Panthers in round 2. Our blueline is much better and Berube's style of play is more suited to playoff hockey, but we will need the core guys to find a way to contribute throughout the series to have any chance of pulling off an upset.

Panthers got lucky against Tampa with Vasilevskiy off his game.

Now they'll be facing against the best netminder in the POs so far. They're about to get goalie'd, like what Bob did to the Leafs in 2023.

Toronto in 5.
Not sure where you've got that take. I like Stoly, but I'm not sure where you are getting your numbers.

FWIW Panthers are flying to Toronto on 5/4 and flying home on 5/8. That likely means game 1 is Monday, 2 Wednesday and 3 Saturday. If game 3 was Friday they'd go back I think on 5/7 after the game
Good logic. 2 full days off between 2 and 3. Helps the older guys on each team. Leafs I think have more guys between 29 and 33. Tanev is 35 Pacioretty is 36, Marchand and Bob are 36.

I'm not quite sure what he meant by that. I assume he means this will be the best goalie Tampa has faced so far. But for what it's worth, Bobovskry and Stolarz currently have identical GAA and SV% averages in the playoffs, Kind of weird.
