They hit the post once in the third.

Who cares about posts? Posts aren't goals. They're missed shots.

Boychuk I think hit the post twice. Jagr did it once. There was a deflection on the Bruins last PP in the 3rd that just skimmed the post as well.

Those missed shots were better than our half-assed shots where it just ends up going wide, and Callahan ended up Del Zottoing Del Zotto.

Its one game Jesus.

You what's funny is that the Rangers had some crushing losses in 1994. After every loss, most of the fans I hung around with were nervous and frustrated but confident. Nobody ever said "trade Leetch" or "fire Smith" after each loss.

I don't get some of you. I get the frustration but calm down. Rangers played a good game tonight against a good team. You don't make wholesale changes after an OT loss in Game 1.

You're not going to get max effort from all 19 every shift of every game. Some guys play well, others don't.

It happens. Just appreciate that your team is still playing relevant hockey while 22 other fanbases were wishing they were in your shoes.

Thank you, i am confident. Bruins won but didnt look good.

I wish for once though we could get some honest answers here. I'd love an honest answer to:

"What's the Ranger's problem in OT, how come the players change but they still can't win in the extra frame?"

Instead we'll just get ********

They're not looking to win. Playing not to lose. So they're constantly defending. Therefore "gassed".

The Bruins weren't dominating until OT came.

you guys are kidding your self... rangers looked out matched and looked like they had absolutely no forecheck .

Coaches gotta check the tapes and really adjust here. Rangers looked lost

We made their power play look like an all star power play ( we need adjustments here big time)

Bruins dangled around our defense all night and got snipes off in the slot. We aren't gonna win many games with that going on

They should also work on clearing the puck. Like, really work on that. Stop passing back to the other team

This has pissed me off so much this postseason. The Rangers so many times will shoot it up the glass to have it knocked down by the other team. The D also will clear it behind the net and it will go straight to the other team on the half board or the point.

Everyone relax. Its Game 1. The whole game was entertaining, and fairly even. Even if it was ugly. We got **** on in OT. .

I thought the first period was pretty boring but the rest was better. The overtime was so infuriating though.

I think this was the most infuriating thing all game long. If there's not support there, don't fling the puck around to the point...

thats because the players were making just poor decisions with the puck and they also play like they don't understand the game plan.

I'm sorry, I would like to make a correction. The Rangers are not 5% on the PP.

They're at 6.4%

Thanks!

hard to really tell what happned based on the board....my FB friends who I trust more tell me Henrik wasn't at fault for the goals, deflectins/chara blast....said we had no offense at all, quality of chances were quite different....
anyways oiff to bed.
The first one was a knuckler, the second one he should've had. He'd make that save 99 out of a 100.

I gave up on this board getting any objective info after a loss a long time ago.
A lot of passion and venting. If we win game 2, we are contenders again

Don't point out facts, if you do that then you aren't a real fan

Never easy being a rangers fan
Could have gone either way,
Could have used better breakouts, but I am not discouraged.
Bruins shot their lo**

I don't think they played that bad of a game. Sure it was boring and sloppy but they weren't dominated like game 1 vs Washington. I think they'll be okay.

game of inches..who knows if that pass from brassard to nash makes it to nash who knows...smarter play would have been brassard just take the shot and have nash crash the net for the rebound

Bruins fans are probably saying the same. B's could of won 2-0! Should of won 2-1 in regulation! But since they actually showed up for OT and scored a third goal all is well.

Bruins fan here... not here to start trouble... I enjoy reading the opponents' take on things, especially in the playoffs.

I don't believe many Bruins fans would be saying the B's could've won 2-0 or 2-1 in regulation (some might, but not if they follow the B's real closely)... Tuukka tends to give up soft goals every now and again, and usually at the worst possible times. :D And as someone else said, the Bruins seem to enjoy being the heart attack kids... they *should* have put the Leafs away in Game 5, but they decided to mail in their performances in Games 5 & 6 and came WAY too close to completely blowing the series (it was shades of 2010 against the Flyers all over again).

The Rangers are a VERY formidable team. If *any* Bruins player OR fan think this is going to be a cakewalk, they must be smoking some really wild stuff. Not only do you guys have a stellar goaltender in Lundqvist, but the way the Rangers are ALWAYS blocking shots... It's mind-boggling (to me) that they aren't injured more frequently.

It was a tough-fought game overall. I suspect it'll be like that for the entire series.
