Meh. Why was Eminger on the ice after a goal?

Win Game 2 and take back the momentum.

Richards and Callahan are just brutal on the puck.

Henrik is 3-10 career-wise in OT.

Whatever. Game 1s are pretty meaningless with this franchise. Win Game 2 and take it to the Bruins

An outsiders thoughts:

Nash, Callahan, Richards: COMPLETELY invisible, unnoticeable, non factor.

Hank: Don't blame the guy, can't except 1 or fewer goals given up every game. He is always a stud.

Rangers did not pressure the 3 rookie defenders of Boston enough.

With that being said, Rangers were not that bad, they were with Boston for the entire game until the overtime. Oddly enough the Bruins are not taking advantage of the space at the points, they are playing a down low game which will be to the Rangers benefit since they collapse around the slot. I see Hank taking game 2 and then anything can happen.

Make 1 of those two saves and he faces 16 or so less shots. He SHOULD have made one of those. Still nobody should let the F off the hook for embarrassing themselves in the 3rd and OT

Rask let up two softies too. Difference is his team bailed him out with a big play. Or are we going to pretend that the Rask goals weren't stoppable.

This.

You do know im a stu bickel hater......... Eminger is our next bickel..... Dont even try to defend him.

Eminger's play this year has been far better than Bickel's play ever in a Rangers uniform.

No complaints about Steve Eminger has a 7th defensemen when team is fully healthy.

Also, the one thing I really hate: Gamecenter's radio is like one full minute behind the play. So I knew the game was over (since Yahoo Sports updates me on my phone) before I heard the call. Infuriating.

Comically bad PP.
+
No scoring opportunities from Nash, Richards (lol), Cally.
+
2 uncharacteristic goals from Hank.

= how the hell were they in OT.

Callahan was the opposite of invisible. Every horrible decision he made was VERY visible.

We're now 3-11 in playoff ot games since the end of the second lockout. Ugh.

i assume hank was in goal for all of those? im really at the point im not gonna watch their next playoff ot game, its just ridiculous. and it took us 3 ots to win one of those games.

Eh, Nash had a solid game. In fact, that Zuc-Brass-Nash line had a solid game. Cally and Richards, I can't argue that.

Move Callahan to the 4th line with Richards and put Kreider with Stepan and Hagelin. Callahan has been disastrous outside of game 7.

Wouldn't mind starting game two like that, Kreider played good tonight and deserve more ice time while Cally needs to chill down and pull his **** together.

This board is so God damn polarizing. Some people make it sound like we lost a 3-2 game in OT. Others make it sound like we lost 8-0 and we are in line for the #1 pick in the draft.

We don't have a first round pick this year :sarcasm:

Actually think both teams played pretty soft. Boston wasn't even clicking on all cylinders and this was the type of road game the Rangers needed to steal, it was right there for them.

We are ****ing cursed or something in Playoff overtimes, it's ******* ridiculous. I expect the loss now, because it makes it easier to handle once it happens.

Failed opportunity, big time. They can still take one on the road but I was really hoping to take game 1 and felt good about it going in. Big players don't show up, and you find yourself in a hole.

Richards was garbage and that blind giveaway in his own zone was an Enver Lisin intellegence play. What the **** is wrong with this guy??????????? Very disappointing.

agreed on all points.....i would add in there that Cally absolutely did NOTHING. He was a right handed Richards:amazed: Strip him of that C already.....I don't think he ahould wear it

Moore took a bonehead penalty, killing our PP (not that we would of scored) but gave the B's momentum. Emminger was pretty awful tonight, always wrapping his arms around the opposing forwards. Of course you are going to get called. Needless penalty. No doubt we would of hung on and won this game 2-1 if Emmi doesn't take that holding call:shakehead

and Nash needs to BEAR DOWN. He wasn't bad.....but he needs to take it to the NET STRONG instead of shying away from rough play. It's like he does not want to PAY THE PRICE. Man up.....you're 6'4 and 220!!!

very dissapointed they didn't take this game. So Typical of the NY Rangers:sarcasm::rant:

You'd think we just got blown out 10-0 reading this garbage. Gives me a freaking migraine even trying to read though this drivel.

What kind of stuff is drivel? Seriously the team was garbage to end this game for the last two periods are fans supposed to be happy going out like that? How many times will this entire team just disappear like this? It's grown old for many people and they are venting which is pretty natural. Why read it?

But the shots were 32-30 in the game. According to the radio, the game seemed fairly close yet Hank was poor on two goals.

So I don't see how you can really claim that. The Bruins got 1/3 of their shots in OT. So you may as well completely get rid of OT when we are talking about this since the game should've been over in regulation.

Shots were 48-35.

Its really embarrassing. Its like watching beer league team out there when theyre on PP.

Sure glad the Rangers traded away their future for Nash and Clowe.

Nash is injured. It was clear as day in the Caps round. He's still young and has plenty of time.

We also got more youth back in the Gabby trade with Moore and Brassard.

Clowe? We gave up a 2nd and a 3rd for him (if he's not re-signed).

Clearly we have no youth.

So he goes from "Brass God" to "Idiot! You're not Crosby!" because the guy with the longest reach in the NHL tipped what would have been a great pass? Yep. Pretty typical with this board. Just kinda sad at this point.

0-3 on the powerplay and Lundqvist gives up two soft goals. Game should have never made it to OT in the first place.

Well said. Also, we played mostly like ***** and still took it to OT. I'm no less confident they can win this series. Rick Nash you have to score. Thats why we ****ing traded for you. He brings nothing if hes not scoring. If he is injured he needs to simplify his play or something because his current play isnt cutting it.

They'll pack extra jam next game, no biggie.
