Very tame period. MDZ hitting the post and Nash almost having a chance in front were our two best chances, the Bruins had 2 really good ones as well.

Will be very interesting to see how both teams come out for the 2nd. We will be in big trouble if MDZ can't come back

Both teams mostly on the periphery, but I think Boston had the more effective forecheck.

The line for NYR that looks most likely to produce is, unsurprisingly, Zucc-Brassard-Nash.

I am a little concerned about MDZ defensively with the minutes he will get paired with Girardi. That's a tough assignment.

I know it's only a stat , but the TSN guys (actually Darren Pang) pointed out that Henrik has given up one goal in the first period of the post-season this year.

Road period, no goal conceded. Anyone's game. I am happy so far. You cannot expect too much in a game 1, because the home team always comes out firing. Same was said during the Caps series but people seem to forget that. 140 minutes without a goal against for Henrik. Does mean something!

The pace is not that high. Both teams come off a game 7 series. We'll get our chances

Not a terrible period. Not a great period. The forecheck was not good. Need more pressure in the Bruins zone.
