I wasn't even trying to address whether it was an elbow or not, just pointing out that some Boston fans, namely, the one I was replying to, was wearing rosy colored fan glasses for saying it wasn't a penalty; thus pointing out the irony of your comment. But hey, if you're gonna act like I'm off the mark without you understanding context, I guess that's what we should expect.Well the guy that I said wear your glasses to said it was an elbow which it 100% wasn't, it was a boarding penalty. He didn't hit his face either, Smiths face hit the glass, but hey if you're just going to post without reading the OPs I guess that's what we should expect.
One Boston fan was continuing to pound the glass next to the NHL official after he had already clearly been injured. Absurd.Very serious question!!! Are those glass breaking murderers in police custody???
It was a lopsided regular season series for sure but people often forget that the Bruins had that abysmal game with Bergeron out injured, Marchand suspended and Rask trying the failed comeback game. Not an accurate portrayal of the Bruins. Was so befuddled that Boston was so heavily favored coming into this series. Carolina has been a top 4 NHL team all year, and more so to the point, Carolina swept the season series outscoring Boston 16-1, with two shutouts
In saying that, I think Boston wins game 3 in convincing fashion; but Canes take it in 5

LOL. Yeah, hitting a guy in the face is 100% clean. WeAr yOuR glAssEs. Smith had blood oozing from his nose; kind of hard to dispute that one. Maybe some people should put down the rosy colored fan glasses for a minute.
Yes, because nothing says you're not a clown yourself than when you spam the emoji because you're desperate to save face after being proven you're wrong; it was a penalty. The irony when you keep digging a hole and look like a clown and spam the emoji; nice projection guy.The irony in this post could create a singularity. Smith's visor cut his face when the momentum from getting bodied carried him into the glass.
LOL. I can hear the clown shoes squeaking from here. Again, put the rosy colored fan glasses down. They called it a major and then reviewed it, realized it wasn’t even a penalty, so they kept watching it over and over rather than say it out loud to the crowd that had all seen the replay 15 times.
Using the apple analogy, it is kind of comparing apples and oranges when some random jackass edge lords on Twitter are saying mean things, versus an old guy who was just injured from a glass falling on him from the fans and yet a fan keeps hitting another glass panel right by the injured man.Meh some Carolina fans were yelling about Pasta’s son. Bad apples in all groups.
That hit was absolutely not a penalty, every retired NHL'er in the intermission broadcast thought the same.Yes, because nothing says you're not a clown yourself than when you spam the emoji because you're desperate to save face after being proven you're wrong; it was a penalty. Look at the replay and still say with a straight face that it wasn't a penalty. I'm ready to hear a compelling argument from you. Also, you're sure the visor cut him? It wasn't conclusive based on the replay angle if it was an elbow or a shoulder hit IMO, and so it's interesting you're confident the hit didn't touch his nose and thus cause blood loss. Kind of strange to think that something that protects a person's face could cause so much blood. I'm not certain one way or another on the visor causing blood loss, but that's not been my focus. Clifton hit Smith in the face with either an elbow or a shoulder, and caused blood loss either directly from the hit or indirectly due to the visor. So again,

And yet, it was. That hit was absolutely not a penalty, every retired NHL'er in the intermission broadcast thought the same.
Respectfully disagree. Frozen at contact, shows Clifton shoulder hits, Smith side to boards, Clifton elbow tucked and glove up in front.I wasn't even trying to address whether it was an elbow or not, just pointing out that some Boston fans, namely, the one I was replying to, was wearing rosy colored fan glasses for saying it wasn't a penalty; thus pointing out the irony of your comment. But since you did reply to me, I looked at my recording of the game since nobody on YouTube has the hit from what I saw. It's tough to conclude from the replay's angle if Clifton hit Smith's face with his elbow or shoulder, but either way, it was 100% a dirty hit. Regardless, it was a penalty; something apparently some Boston fans don't think it should have been.
At least you make a respectable argument on why it wasn't a penalty unlike the guy earlier with the emoji spam. I still think it is a penalty though since it really looked like a head shot. So, agree to disagree. Really we'd all benefit from a better replay angle. For something that was being discussed at one point as a major, it's sort of surprising we only ever saw this angle and not the reverse one. Then again, it's the NHL. Maybe it's not surprising.Respectfully disagree. Frozen at contact, shows Clifton shoulder hits, Smith side to boards, Clifton elbow tucked and glove up in front.
Bad result for Smith, but calling this "100% dirty" is like calling the hit on Lindholm 100% dirty. Neither was.

To quote some fans from Game 2, keep your head up son. New to this. Am I doing it right? He elbowed him in the face..
I didn’t see any actual response, so I’m sorry if this is repetitive but I was wondering too - I found an article from just a few hours ago that said he was resting at home. He should be fine but they don’t know if he’ll be back for the series. How that guy in the penalty box doing that had the glass fall on his head? Just saw the video of what happened

Both hits were clean, lindholm and smith. Both had their heads down and both paid the price. If you put your head down at the very last second to turtle away from a hit then be prepared for bad things to happen. Smith would’ve been better served to stand up and take the hit instead of turtling. Lindholm a was just out to lunch not paying attention and got his bell rung. Saying anything else is just being disingenuous and is homerism. At least you make a respectable argument on why it wasn't a penalty unlike the guy earlier with the emoji spam. I think it's inconclusive from that one angle if it's an elbow, but again, he hit Smith in the face as shown by the blood loss that was a result either directly or indirectly (the latter with the argument that Smith's visor hit him as he went face first into the glass). The league shouldn't ignore those head shots. I'm sure you and or other Boston fans will argue it wasn't a hit to the face though. However, it really appears like a hit to the side of Smith's face.
I also wouldn't compare Lindholm being hit with this, but I'm not surprised if you think Smith getting hit was nothing illegal.
Buddy, if you can't see the difference between, as I said, random jackass edgelords saying mean, or highly inappropriate things on Twitter, and somebody continuing to push against glass next to an old injured man who just got hit from a glass panel from fans knocking it out, I'm not the one with a bad take. Both are wrong, but, apples and oranges. One could hit an old man again, another are some pathetic keyboard warriors. One can't excuse either situation. The fact that you can't move on and continue to dig in to assert the two are somehow the same is sad. Another example of whataboutism on the internet.Bad takes all over from your corner, buddy.
hes 100% according to the team today and should be back in the penalty box for gm6 (if needed)How that guy in the penalty box doing that had the glass fall on his head? Just saw the video of what happened
