Hagelin had 0g, 3 pts in 17 playoff games last year.

He has 2g, 4 pts in 4 games this year.

He will need to continue to produce along with a lot of other forwards on the roster to make a deep run.

Think we lose convincingly tonight and sets up for a nerve wracking next game.

I am admittedly a natural pessimist, but yeah it depends on which team shows up. The Rangers have an abysmal road record and the Caps are a great home team. The one in game 1 fought tooth and nail and even outplayed the Caps for large sessions, but game 2 was just a travesty of a game which the team would've been blown out if not for Hank. I predict this is going to be a 1 goal game lol.

They need to change their 5 on 5 play and not allow the Caps to enter and stay in the zone so easily. If they can do that and continue to score they'll win

If Nash can play a game or two like Nash, we should be good. Gotta come out flying early. They got a huge boost from their crowd in Game one after that Ovi goal. Take the crowd out early, win the game.

Sometimes I forget that this is only Hagelin's sophomore season

I do, because he's up for contract. Evidently we burnt a year on five AHL games after he lost the national championship game with Michigan.

I do recall watching BC beat Wisconsin when Stepan, McDonagh, and Kreider were playing. Ironically Kreider played the best of them and Stepan was injured late in the game.

His ELC was 2 yrs because of his age.

I thought Step and Cally looked way better last game. If they can keep that up, the Rangers have a good chance of taking this game. Of course, if Nash can kick it into another gear, that'd help too.

Much like the OP's username, I hope Elvis leaves the building tonight, and that this is the last NHL game played in the Verizon Center this season!!

Just shows how much experience counts, and how important it is for the young kids to get the trust from the coach, and not punished for their mistakes.....

Rangers 1-9 in last 10 playoff games at Verizon Center.

Caps are 9-1-0 in their last 10 home games.

Washington; 15-8-1 at home, 12-10-2 away.
NYR; 16-6-2 at home, 10-12-2 away.

Last season, Washington; 26-11-4 at home, 16-21-4 away.

Rangers were 3-1 at home, 1-2 away in the playoff series vs Wash last year.

This is my concern. This is why this game is crucial. We need to take one in Washington.

So, what are the odds that ovechkin's seen the Ovechbox 360 gif by now?

Guarantee that if he hasn't seen it, he has at least heard about either the gif or the **** he has been getting from the play. The local comcast sports station ran a segment essentially "debunking" Ovie being at fault on that play (which is true - he's not the main problem on that play; but he was at least one of them). And it got picked up by the Washington Post. I love the gif and think it is hilarious - props to Cmox with the great idea and PJay with the awesome follow through... but in all honesty, the fact that it spread like wildfire I'm not too thrilled with; it ends up being potential fodder for Ovie to use as motivation to have a monster game.

Anyway... I've been absolutely unproductive at work today. Not only is it a Friday, but Game 5 is tonight too? Recipe for zero work getting done.

LGR!
