Gotta admit, I kinda forgot what real playoff anxiety feels like. 2018 was over in a blink, so it's really been 11 years since I've felt it. It was so commonplace for most of my youth and early adulthood but now, in my mid-40's, it hits different. I love it and hate it at the same time.

Gonna be fun watching my 20-year-old daughter go through it for the first time. She has nooooooo idea what she's in for.

I feel like I’m in the twilight zone whenever I’m reading these media predictions. Have none of them watched the devils this year? It’s mind boggling. Set a record for wins and points, budding stars and superstars throughout the lineup, top-5 youngest team, and so on and so forth. They’re better than the rainji*z in every category except in net and the rags have a slightly better PP which can be negated by our even better PK.

Their PP is closer to 1 goal in 4 pp opportunities, our is closer to 1 in 5. And their pp is deadly in the end of the season. We should stay away from the box. Devils and rangers were bottom 5 teams in pen minutes.

in 2018 we were still huge underdogs and had low expectations. here we're favored (well, not by the media but still), and have a realistic chance of doing some damage in the playoffs. it's very exciting and stressful
