A lot of media persons sh1t on devils in this series. And mostly talk about experience. The bigger problem on my taste is Shestyorkin. He is 93.4% in March and 94.1% in April. This is a lot. Devils should shoot A LOT to score even three goals. I know Jim thinks goalies don’t matter, but this is how hockey works - if goalie can control rebounds and has good reflection and physics - team can control zones to close dangerous spots and give their goalie every opportunity to save every shot he can save.
I like our hockey more. I’m more in favor of defensive hockey, more structured hockey, but rangers aren’t of this type. I think we are playing in better hockey overall. But their goalie and their level of offensive talent could help them to score on less chances from their side and stop more good shots from our side.
I still hope that Ruff watching a lot of tapes and trying to figure it out how to burn their third line/third pair and how to cave their first line.

Let`s, go, Nico! He was great two way center, scored goals and produced points against top lines and didn’t give chances to produce for opponents top lines.
Let`s go, Haula and Meier! Finland one should defend against this two weird kiddos, Swiss one should dominant them physically and score against their third pair.
Let`s go, Vitech! He should stop whatever he can to balance our game.
If Jack and Jesper will handle physical game against Trochek and Kreider, it would help a lot.

I feel like I’m in the twilight zone whenever I’m reading these media predictions. Have none of them watched the devils this year? It’s mind boggling. Set a record for wins and points, budding stars and superstars throughout the lineup, top-5 youngest team, and so on and so forth. They’re better than the rainji*z in every category except in net and the rags have a slightly better PP which can be negated by our even better PK.

I didn’t get a chance to watch any games yesterday—are we back to a completely different system of rules in the playoffs already?
I think he's probably referencing the amount of PP goals scored. Both Western Conference games had 3 PP goals in them, both of Carolina's goals were on the PP, and Boston had a PP goal as well. So 9 of the 19 total goals scored last night were on the PP.

The talking heads always discount the rising team until they arrive with a statement season, then turn right around and say that nobody saw them coming.

Right now we're somewhere between steps 1 and 2.

Yea this is painfully accurate. Oh well, just have to prove the doubters wrong.

No, they haven't lol. Consequences of being a Devils fan, no recognition and will always be second fiddle to the team with the cool jerseys and midtown arena. No big deal, beating them is all that matters.
