If you have the skill to get your stick on the puck it should be in play.
I don't disagree.
Would get rid of lots of controversy.
Allow high stick goals while we're at it and I'd be fine with it. If the stick doesn't hit anyone, who cares.
It's not allowed mostly because it's a question of player safety - i.e. prevention. Player safety > "controversy" (and it's more fans whining more than anything, 90% of the time)

"If the stick doesn't it anyone, who cares", sure, but by making it legal, you'd have players swinging their stick in the air far more often, thus leading to more injuries resulting from said high sticks.

So Forsling trips and then cross checks DeBrusk and doesn't allow him to get to his feet but the puck brushes a stitch on his glove and they think that constitutes a hand 'pass'

real nice league we have here
And yet, you're going to keep watching.

What is Bennett doing?

Why not go into intermission with a lead?

Having said that, the refs have been too involved in this game. Let them play.

I think that one was justified. Bennett removed Bergeron's bucket. That specifically was a point of emphasis when they made the "gotta leave the ice if you lose your lid" rule.

Now, Maroon hitting Giordano in the hip and getting called for roughing from 50' away...agree. Not a thing that should exist in the playoffs.

Removing someone's helmet = roughing.

I guess they could let that go but unlike some other rules, it's pretty easy to call, because you can easily see when someone loses their helmet. Not exactly something you can hide or do in secret.
