Why would you need to coordinate it? Once the puck crosses the line, the post and goal lamp lights up and the ref automatically knows when he blew the whistle. If it's before the light, no goal and if it's after then it's a goal. It's simple not rocket science
That's more than a chip in a puck, but would be fine

Maybe this one is better?
Where the writing ends on the side of the pad is the lowest point that the puck is seen under the pad from the front view, and it actually looks like its a bit higher than where the writing ends. You're seeing his skate way back in the net and not realizing that goalies wear their pads so loose that the pad isn't actually in contact with the shin/foot a lot of the time when a goalie is in the butterfly.

Would it kill them to just implement something similar to the goal line technology that’s been used in soccer for well over a decade? There’s an absurd amount of subjectivity in the rulebook and it’s really f***ing annoying

Given that the technology to make this a zero-doubt process is trivial to implement, my only guess about why they keep all these shitty angles and manual review is for drama and excitement like this

That was a goal

This is giving me 2004 flashbacks of that goal that Calgary scored that was deemed no goal. Sure looks good but all footage is inconclusive, then you're left like the guy who just saw a yeti but it was filmed with a potato so no one believes you
