Really? explain
I don’t like subjectivity in sports, it should be as black and white as possible. “Intent to blow whistle” is a terrible rule in the NHL. The ability for the refs to say “I did, but you can’t hear” or “well, I meant to” is just terrible rules. Too much power to the person (ref), instead of the rule. Just my opinion though. Also, that wasn’t a goal, if people are curious of my position.

They’re openly cheering Toronto on. And Cuthbert and Simpson are bigger homers than Blue HF posters.

Of course they are cheering for Toronto. That's ridiculous to suggest they wouldn't or shouldn't. They're a Canadian broadcast...

But they are still looking at that goal/no goal conversation just fine. They settled on no goal.

Period.

FLA is basically going to sit back and protect the lead it looks like. Leafs will get a lot of chances to tie this up.

Even then you'd have to coordinate it with the whistle in this case.
Why would you need to coordinate it? Once the puck crosses the line, the post and goal lamp lights up and the ref automatically knows when he blew the whistle. If it's before the light, no goal and if it's after then it's a goal. It's simple not rocket science

If Florida sits back all 3rd they are going to lose in regulation and the controversy won't matter.
