Rangers let them back. Devils were always better going in to the series. Both are true. That is why losing game 3 is the back breaker. That would have given them the cushion to lose a few in a row and close it out due to averages.
At this point, half way through game 4, Devils are now the favorites to take the series after being dead in the water.
