Pittsburgh was awful the final few weeks of the season and down to their 3rd choice goalie.

Rangers have the likely Vezina winner

So of course the Penguins put 13 goals on the Rangers in the past 2 games.

The randomness of this sport never ceases to amaze me.

Zib is at his best when he can stand by the net with his stick up for 5 minutes waiting for a slap shot that he misses 90% of the time. Danault was the guy we needed but were too busy scouting Nemeth.

We can haz Trotz?

It's not the coach, it's gm and the players. The gm didn't recognize after watching Nemeth all year that he's terrible and didn't replace him. The players don't want to play a playoff style game for 60 mins, this coach and the last have been hammering that message into them for three years, nobody listens

The whole team, with maybe 2 or 3 exceptions, has been absolute garbage this series. But Nemeth, that motherf***er has been the harbinger of f***ing doom in all our losses. He takes penalties that we get scored on, loses someone badly in coverage, or knocks in an own goal. Everything goes downhill after he f***s up, which is often. Blame goes all around, but that dude is a pile of shit on skates.

This could be true. Igor certainly hasn't looked the same, no matter that the team is playing like shit in front of him.

For sure, but we’ve left Igor out to dry many times before. He has been noticeably off. While he can’t be “blamed” for a lot of these, they’re things that don’t squeak through or beat him usually.

Panarin Zibanejad and Kreider are happy that they got their big paydays and are just cruising to retirement at this point.

Well I would hope we at least kicked the tires on it.

We need a center.

Even if Gallant were playing Copp at center (which he should be), I don't think he's it. He's mediocre defensively.

I've said it a million and a half times. Zibanejad is a very good player and Strome is fine, but they're too alike to be your top two centers.
Pretty solid proof they're regular season stars

And GG REFUSES TO TAKE HIM OUT OF THE LINEUP!! IT MAKES ME SICK!! I'd rather see Jones in there.

The Penguins are playing fantastic playoff hockey. Taking shots from everywhere & using "legal interference." Gallant's team is playing pond hockey.

People were in denial, but ote trade deadline we were a very bad hockey team winning on goaltending. Our old habits get exposed in the playoffs
We had our post-acquisition surge in the reg. season but people thinking they'd carry that into the playoffs, an entirely different beast, were just out to lunch.

If Igor isn't perfect, we lose. That's not how it's supposed to work.
