Im just confused. Total and complete melt down. Not exactly hard to predict with a team so inexperienced but I do t see anything to give me hope.

We are being massively outshot and out chanced.

We are seeing what happens when you delude yourself into thinking a team that sucks ass at 5v5 can compete in the playoffs by having its goalie steal 4 straight series’.

You get embarrassed.

The rebuild isn’t over. Turn it back on.

I mean, I can’t think of a better analogy. The Rangers are the guy who in the gym who does curls and benches. He thinks he’s strong, but he’ll never really be strong because he doesn’t like to squat or deadlift or do the work that hurts. So he’ll be content to flex in the mirror and admire his biceps but he’ll never truly be strong because he isn’t willing to put in the work. The Rangers just don’t like to do the work.

Drury needs to find a center that can play defense. Gallant fooled himself into thinking Mika is a two way center. Panarin/Mika/Kreider is the line moving forward. Your matchup line next season is Kakko and a center that can defend.

Holy shit, I remember when some of you guys white knighted so hard for Hank when he missed unscreened, untipped shots from the point.

I remember a lot of folks who are now shitting all over Igor who are looking pretty hypocritical right now.

When you're dubbed the best, you need to expect the criticism. If this was Georgiev, I wouldn't be complaining. But this is Shesterkin, someone who is going to win a Vezina and get Hart recognition.

Yes. I agree.

And the same thing was said.

So there you go. It's a narrative.
People using that narrative against a team that went to the SCF and then game 7 of the ECF were morons. People using it after this season are probably partially sensible. We have a bunch of regular season winners and it's fairly clear we are severely lacking playoff worthy players.

I doubt we can do it cap wise, but getting JT Miller in place of Strome would be a mega upgrade. Might be worth trying to move other contracts in order to see if we can get it done.

Nothing against him but I'd rather we drafted a Canadian or American goaltender who dreams of winning the Stanley Cup and not happy with Vezinas and Olympic gold medals.
Maybe tell your American boy in your avatar to wake the f*** up and do something? Guess he only cares about individual records in the regular season huh?

The Rangers are a soft perimeter team, and the Penguins go hard to the net and defend. It’s simple as that.

The Cirque de Soliel act doesn’t work in the playoffs.
People don't want to acknowledge it. I rode along with the happy people here in the regular season because you can't argue success, but deep down I envisioned this.

Miller really goes against the whole "soft perimeter" thing if that's the hill you're dying on.
