Im getting to watch the game (kid’s baseball). I like how we stood up for each other this game after the Isles shenanigans. Even not allowing dudes get close to Raanta after a save. We may not hit a lot but we don’t allow teams to push us around, not near as much as people like to believe.

We need to lock him up this summer and erase the intrigue going into the last season of his current contract. 5 years, 8 years, AAV, I don't care. Just lock him up long term again please.

It's a misconception that we're soft by people looking at hit stats. We dominate possession which gives us much less chance to get hits and we don't have any notable bottom 6 heavy hitters that tend to weigh heavily in people's minds. None of our guys are soft, they can take just about anything any of these heavier teams throw at them and that's been true since Rod took over as coach.

I love how Isles fans are calling US a "goon squad"...like please, point to ONE guy on our team who even lays big hits with regularity, or has more than 1-2 fights in 2 seasons. They're lucky their game misconducts and suspension-worthy plays are being called as 2 min minors. But apparently our goon squad was starting scuffles post-whistle (which definitely had nothing to do with them throwing late hits and hits from behind behind every play). You can't call this team "soft" and then refer to them as "goon squad"...like this is a new level of cognitive dissonance. Boston fans are insufferable pricks, but these Isles fans are competing with Pens in level of whininess.

I wonder who JG was mouthing off to with 20 seconds left in the second. He was off the ice for 20 or so seconds and then “F off JG” was very clear. Even mike with the chuckle.

Every accusation is an admission

They know damn well what their team has been playing like this week. In fact, its only for playoff reffing that the discrepancy isn't even greater than its been. They don't have the talent to win, so they're trying to goon it up to get us off our game, and its just backfiring spectacularly.

After the slash to Turbo, the boarding to Drury, and the sucker punches on Slavin, they have shown to the entire world who and what they are in this series. Let them whine, they'll be golfing by Wednesday.

Tuesday's game is equally about taking less physical punishment by ending the series early than it is about winning game 4. I think the Canes are highly favored to win 1 of the next 3 games should it come down to it, but if it goes to 6 or 7 you'd imagine we will have more of our players injured.

Should the Canes advance, they will present a very different challenge for the winner of the Devils/Rangers series, as neither team is as defensively stout as the Canes are.

Yea, I think I'm just not gonna take the troll bait by responding to them anymore. Just like you can't de-escalate people who don't want to be de-escalated, or convince a bad/unsafe/passive driver that they're any of those things, you can't convince stupid that it's not stupid...you'd have better luck talking to a brick wall. They can't even move their rose-colored glasses because their heads are so far up their asses, at least some of them like that 2LeftSkates.

Even their own Athletic beat writer is calling them out for gooning it up to the point of taking it way over the line.

They're just desperately looking for an excuse that explains why they are losing that isn't "we are getting our ass kicked by a better team while playing shit hockey"

I think it's a smart style they don't hits take a toll on the hitter as well, During the regular season with the exception of Mr. Svechnikov no one else is out there seeking to hit.... As show by our low 16.5 HPG average, the post season the last three years has been anther story despite our low hitting totals in the regular season the Canes turn up the physicality and average close to 40 hits a game in the playoffs, The Canes have learned to rachet up the physicality a notch while staying under the threshold of getting penalized non stop for it. IMO the Hurricanes are the perfect example of a team were the whole exceeds the sum of its parts.... Rod Is very very good at getting the right guys do buy into his system, while we do not have many truly elite skill players as a whole our team is more skilled than most because there are few to no liabilitys.

The key against the Rags will be staying out of the box, the key agaist the Devils will just being getting better goalie play than they do.

I think it will be the Rangers and I think we have a decent shot if we can stay out of the dang box, even with all of there rentals they are a PP driven team Kane is a negative 5 v 5
Honestly it's Kreider that's been doing the damage vs the Devils and we were very successful at keeping him stymied last year.

Man that Isles gdt was a trip.

One power play goal 4 minutes in cost them the game. Not a single person said "It's a single goal with 55 minutes to play. If the game can be lost that easily, our team is trash." Just one goal, can't win now. Refs beat us.
