I asked them to show me some heart, they showed me some heart.

Brassard scored from in front.

Boyle scored going hard to the net

Asham scored from in front.

Stepan scored from in front.

Amazing what happens when you make a concerted effort to go to the front of the net.

Thought they would wilt after it 1-0 they didn't

Thought they would wilt after the Caps tied it at 2 and 3, they didn't.

Would like to see the same effort on Wednesday

Team is still terrible though. This is 2011 series redux. Totally irrelevant at ES. Hope and pray for some more fortuitous bounces is only way we win this series.

Again:

If "we ****ing sucked 5 on 5" we wouldn't have gotten all the powerplays. The only reason we got them was because we pressured them like crazy at times 5-on-5. So that theory holds no water. If we don't pressure them and play well, than we don't get the PPs, and we probably don't win the game.

Rangers were flat out awful.

Glad we won, but they never make it easy. Laughable how poor we were in the defensive zone.

None of the goals they scored tonight were off of "fortuitous bounces." They were all very good plays. But I'm basically arguing with a brick wall anyway. ;)

Morons played Green instead of Ribeiro, success.

Just like in the Devils series last year, Del Zotto gets us pinned easily, guy has a target when he's on the ice. Rough game for Staal, felt bad seeing him out there.

I knew you'd post something like this; really you have nothing to say that's constructive even after a win.

...And I can breathe now.

In the DC area, so I had to suffer through the Caps broadcast. Man that one announcer with the nasaly voice just kills me. I didn't know that was a thing that they black out the NBCSN broadcast for the local one...

Anyway, good bounce back game. Sad to not see Clowe play and Powe get hurt, but glad the secondary scoring came through big in that game. Girardi was brutal on the first few PPs. Staal looked shaky out there... honestly, hate to say it, but I might prefer Eminger if Staal's vision is impacting his play that much. Glad the big guns finally got on the board at the end, but they need to be better. That simple.

And you could just ****ing tell that when the refs failed to call the borderline trip on Cally in the last few minutes that they would come RIGHT back and make some total BS call against the Rangers. Just ****ing scripted **** right there.

Chest is going to explode. Glad they pulled it out.

Wow that was a hard fought win.... 4 goals!

Is it me or do the Rangers look super slow? Or are the Caps just that much faster stronger on the puck?

Stole one?

If Hank plays better, we win that 4-1. Good game for us. half good first period, half good second period, all good third period.

Are you kidding me? give me some of the stuff you are taking to watch the game next time. The Caps were all over the place, seemed to be on a power play on 5V5

Biggest win of the year!!!! Now the biggest game of the season coming up on Wednesday night, desperately need a win in that game!!!! #NYRBelieve

Also, Stralman has been terrific. How anyone on this board is disappointed with his play is mind-bottling. I love you Anton Stralman!!

Great game. Offense. What a concept!

Very important that both Stepan and Nash were in on that last goal to get them going for the rest of the series, IMO.

POTG:

Brassard
Boyle (credit where credit is due)
Stralman/Moore
