Incorrect I missed nothing and you have failed miserably to explain b/c you know it.

I am not really sure what your sentence is saying, but I'll try and deal with what you posted the best I can.

1) Torts did keep McD out for too long. I don't disagree.

2) McD is a player. He can take himself off the ice when he is tired.

3) Clearly if McD felt he was tired, he could have come off the ice.

4) This was not Keenan keeping Kovalev on the ice as punishment.

5) Therefor, both the player and the coach are at fault there. McD likely thought he still had enough gas to keep going and Torts is going to trust his players 99 times out of 100.

Cally, Step and Hags (I know he was injured) really faded after a good 1st. WOuld love to see Cally and Step really take over a playoff game
hagelin was a ghost last year in the playoffs. He had a great game 1 though. stepan also has had his struggles in the playoffs

Agreed.

If rangers are out there will be serious changes. I think Richards will be bought out? What do you guys say?

Richards will likely not be bought out until after next season (if he even is bought out). I would be really surprised to see him bought out this summer.

You're being abrasive just as much as he is. Cut the crap. You have already admitted in the past that you've only recently started watching hockey. Stop acting like you're a tactical genius.

Want an explanation of this mindset? Here you go: The Rangers played a better overall game in the last two periods of the first game than they did today. But they had a better offensive game, in my mind, in the first three periods today. They had fewer shots, but much more high quality chances. You generally do not score from perimeter shots. Their defense has been pretty awful throughout.

You also incorrectly are implying we should treat posts as G and forgive the team I am waiting for good hockey analysis or at least good discussion and it's a lot of passive aggressive taunts and incorrect statements

When did I ever state that "we should treat posts as G?" Don't worry. I'll wait.

The PP continues to disappoint no matter who has been rolled through here. But Having Girardi and Richards on the point is a recipe for disaster. Guess our coach can't get more creative than that, right? That HAS to be all on the players.

Agreed on everything. That's why this loss stings so much to me.

I do want Del Zotto to go to a shooting clinic or something this offseason, though. The amount of times he misses the net is just infuriating.

Again players will play with broken bones and major injuries it's the coaches JOB to get him off the ice there he HAS to know better than to leave him out like that and it bit this team in the butt

I don't mind Richards on the point, but G needs to get off. Run 5 forwards if you have to. I don't really care at this point.

I don't understand why Zucc is not starting the PP on the point on the FIRST unit. Why have Girardi there? If anything DZ should be the Dman at the point, at least there is some sort of creativity there.

As I've stated many times, in the playoffs you need:

1. Goaltending
2. Special Teams
3. Luck

To date, we've gotten 1 out of 3, and the second one is killing us!

the offence had a bad game..

the defence had a bad game...

we win together..and loose together...

if we loose game 3, then it's over..

I think this has more to do with Torts. How the **** these guys don't attempt one timers and slapshots is beyond me. Girardi's wristers have 50% chance of going wide against the boards and 50% of it being deflected off of a defender which leads to an odd man rush.

Other coaches would be berating players for doing that. Torts thinks it's a valuable asset.

Specialty teams wars...we keep losing them, and that's why we keep losing games.

PP means more in the playoffs...and we have had 8 i think through 2 games...we have to use that to our advantage...having a PP in OT and Caps almost scoring on us short handed is not good...but only the Players and some coaching can change that....but it was the same thing last year...as it was the same thing last year with us not being able to get out of the Defensive zone.

Read the 5th point again.

Torts, like any good coach, trusts his players. Sometimes it doesn't work out right. Don't sit there and tell me that he should all of a sudden stop trusting them and only go with his way because you and others have complained about how inflexible he is the entire freaking year. He is going to trust his #1 d-man to stay on the ice if the guy says he still has gas. McDonagh is a workhorse.

Young player is overcome by emotion after a gut-wrenching loss. Sure, in another few years McDonagh will probably take a different tack. Maybe in another few years he would come off on his own, tell Torts that he is tired and a risk to the team out there, which of course Torts would know since he is the grand poobah, right?

Leave it to Beaver.

I wish I could get my hands on that cloak of invisibility Beaver's sporting. I heard his name called twice today.

But Ward, don't you think you're being a little hard on the Beaver?

Joel - "NO!"
