I liked a lot of what I saw.

I know BOS hit the post three times and that's worrisome, but TOR's players showed they're willing to play a physical game and fight in the dirty areas.

We know they can score. If they keep being physical and improve their structural play, they stand a good chance.

I'm getting worried about the goaltending, though. Samsonov is kind of lucky not to have given up at least three.

At least Treliving’s team is buying into the playoff attrition game concept. Hit em early, often like a heavy weight fight and make sure they’re mentally and physically not fresh for the series as it progresses. With those Dubas teams it was never enough of this forechecking.

Last year was probably the most physical Dubas team, but it wasn't this pack mentality we have seen this year

I don't know about you, but I'm already tired of watching Boston's goon play and it's only period 1 of game 1. Damn, but that team gets away with a TON of shit... Interference on every play, slashing, cross-checking, hacking at the goalie (and a flashback to the Florida game where the refs let Boston hack away at Samsonov for at least 10 seconds without blowing it dead)...

And can someone explain how Boston (a bottom 10 faceoff team) is dominating on the faceoff circle against the Leafs (a top 5 faceoff team)?

Dewar gave the snow showers in retaliation to a Bruins player giving the showers to Samsonov on the previous shift... But Simpson is such a blind Leaf hater that he has to call Leafs games with a negative bias and attempted negative spell casting against the Leafs... Can't stand the guy lol
