Leafs need to handle the pressures of a game 1. Historically they have not. Either way coaches heads are on the line.

They beat Tampa 5-0 in game 1 a couple of years ago, and then got hammered in game 1 last year. Probably no rhyme or reason to any of it.

Tucker was a good comparison! Domi was always my favorite player on those early 2000s teams. Those Leafs teams had a real shot at a Cup; great mix of seasoned veterans and grit with CuJo and then Belfour anchoring the team. Who knows what would have happened in that lockout year if it hadn't happened. My first of many "Leafs fan trauma" experience was those painful series loss to the Devils. Those teams were so close.
