again , neither team is going anywhere

shits and giggles;

The Boston Bruins have broken the NHL single-season wins and points records.

and GONE in the 1st round. of course they werent that good a team (altho the fanbase was so excited) and rip for the exit...do they choke yet again again , surely they cant lose to this habitual playoff loser in the Leafs?
You're probably right on neither team going anywhere in the long run. Florida was a buzz saw last year. They took the Bruins to game 7 OT and won, it isn't like it was a blowout. The only other team to win more than 1 game against them was Vegas, so it isn't like anyone else in the east had an answer for them. It is what it is.

Leafs have better offense, Bruins better D and goaltending. I expect a long battle here

Nylander has actually been a consistent playoff performer for awhile, an elite talent, and a big part of the Leafs' advantage up front. Huge loss for Toronto tonight.

If you could say Toronto's one advantage might have been their forward group, missing one of their best forwards certainly doesn't help the outlook. Tough absence. Need someone to step up.

The Nylander situation is very odd. If it isn’t that serious it kind of validates a lot of his detractors’ criticism of him.

I thought I heard there was a flu or stomach bug going through the Leafs locker room? If he's sick that of no fault of his. I bet he'll be back for game 2

He’s injured. How is it bizarre. Clearly he tweaked something that they likely decided is worth resting for.

implying it’s anything more than that and speaks to his character is reaching. No reason not to give him the benefit of the doubt.
I mean players do play through a lot in the playoffs typically. I am curious what it actually is that he tweaked before making any kind of judgements though. It's a weird situation.

Sure but suggesting it somehow validates criticism that his detractors have for him literally makes no sense. He’s never missed a playoff game in his career.
