Hi all, sens fan coming in peace (for now...).

Ottawa's lines in practice this morning

per Brent Wallace @tsn_wally
MacArthur-Turris-Ryan
Hoffman-Pageau-Stone
Stalberg-Brasard-Burrows
Pyatt-Smith-Wingels

per Bruce Garrioch @SunGarrioch
Karlsson-Methot
Phaneuf-Ceci
Borowiecki-Wideman

Looks as if Methot potentially could be in for game 1...

Anyone know the word on Krug? Some are saying he is out for the entire 1st series at least... any reasoning to that or just rumors?

He's "unlikely to play" in the first round per Sweeney.

The greatest example of the 1-3-1 getting picked apart is the Tampa-Boston Game 7 goal. It was like a set piece and Krejci was the conductor.

YUP i remember this so vividly. Hopefully the coach remembers / looks at that and they pay attention and teach it because it doesn't seem like this current team knows how to break that 1-3-1 yet.

Bruins are just a better team than the Sens in every statistical categories.

Better offense.
Better Goalie.
Allowing less goals.
Better PP and PK.

So what if they lost 4 times to them spread over 82 games. They also lost two times against Colorado. Don't change the fact that they have a better team.

If they lose this series, it will be an upset and a huge missed opportunity. Even without Krug+Carlo.

I would agree with the bolded.

-As for Goalies id say its even (Andy doesn't get enough credit due to Ottawa's terrible defense previous few years. And is on a tear recently .943 Sv% 1.44 GAA last 4 games)

-Defense to Ottawa (unless Carlo & Krug come back)

-Depth to Ottawa (hopefully there aren't any injuries on any side but lets be honest this is playoff hockey now :p)

I think it will be a close series going to 7. Good luck and may the best team not lose!

remember that play well.
Stamkos had a slight slip and that all Horton needed to get to the net

Wish we started tonight, feels like 10 years since the last playoff game. Look forward to seeing who steps up, hopefully some unlikely heroes make for a winning series.

10-3 last three seasons vs the Bruins.

I think the Bruins can win and will win, but no idea where the disrespect for Ottawa is coming from.

Playoff board just has me frothing at the mouth: the teams likely to be bounced from the playoffs next year..........of course the Sens and Leafs fans saying Bruins.

The amount of talent we have coming in with MacAvoy, JFK, Bjork, Lauzon, the 3 from 2015 draft mixed in with Pasta/Marshy/Bergy/Krejci/Backes/Spooner/Vatrano/Chara/Carlo/Krug

If anything, this team should be even better next year with potentially riding themselves of the dead weight and having an actual 3rd line + more mobile defense.

Sens fans just fueling the fire for game one! Bring it on boys!

Pretty funny considering one team had a negative goals differential and the other was the 8 seed.

I can't speak for everyone here but I personally am torn. Would love to see the Habs get knocked out first round, but would prefer the Bruins be the one knocking them out. I will never cheer for the Habs though, so go Rangers!!!

I absolutely would love the pleasure of knocking out the Habs if the oppourtunity exists. However, seeing them get knocked out first round would trump that I think because there is still the chance Habs would knock us out if we met and that is the worst feeling in the world so... Go Rangers!

Okay guys, just checking back in as I was unbelievably curious as to my question.
As I thought, early answers seem to be my inclination. Kind of funny how to cities like Boston and New York that have a VERY LONG HISTORY of dislike because of our respective hockey teams.....Well sometimes you just have to root for such team because of an even larger, deeper hatred. Lol.

Same night my Rangers play, will be checking in though.

As would I, but fortunately 11 out of 12 ain't bad (gonna re-write that song)
Gonna sound something like..... 11 out of 12, gonna put it on the shelf.......

Not just the Bruins, he absolutely stones us, especially at MSG.

I might be wrong, but I don't think so.......We WILL be seeing you guys shortly.

P.S. I suppose you guys are rooting my Rangers on vs "Les Canadians"? Or, would you prefer playing them eventually?

Bruins win a couple games in OT, but lose the series in 6 games.

With the Bruins already "ehh" defense depleted of Krug and Carlo, plus I don't think the Bruins free-wheeling offense style is going to be conducive to a tight-checking high focus playoff environment - I'm not expecting much.

McAvoy was a good desperation play.

This'll be a bittersweet series for me, I have a big soft spot for the B's. If you guys win the series I'll be cheering for you to go all the way. <3

A lot of people think us drafting Senyshyn and DeBrusk in 2015 means that our prospects are complete ****. While we don't have much in the way of future elite talent, we have a seemingly infinite amount of excellent prospects... and our NHL core is already pretty elite as it is. With a little more depth this team is a contender.

F what they say. This summer we likely add a top-4 D and maybe another top-6 winger. Will be interesting to see how they finagle the cap, but with our prospects coming up and our solid core, I think it's only up from here...

I'm always for seeing the scabs exit the playoffs ASAP....no matter who knocks them off!

I truly hope they never win another Cup............EVER!

Habs losing gives just as much satisfaction to bruins fans as bruins winning if not even more joy.
