Six years ago and they still can't let it go....well, at least they admit Burrows is a clown.

:laugh::laugh: Some of them will never get over that 2011 loss. The B's were the better team.

The twins are mentally weak in big games.

Salty Vancouver fans on the main board claiming Burrows will own the Bruins again with his "clowning" and it will be "glorious". As if Burrows did anything except cost his team in 2011. What a pathetic bunch they are.

I gotta be honest, if they won, I'd still be salty as hell too.

Hard to get that close and not win. (as we know in '13.. The only thing that saved me was the cup in '11)

But we really aren't salty about '13. Matter of fact, the majority said it was a great series and great hockey, played by two great teams. Whereas those entitled Vancouver fans act like we stole their birthright, and refuse to let it go.

Backes should play center if Krejci is out. That's why he was signed, for his versatility. Spooner would get terribly exposed as #2C.

Have we seen Backes play center at all (yet) for either CJ or Butch this year? I think that he'd be phenominal but I do remember his saying something about it being a more difficult position to play in Boston than elsewhere because of the defensive system here. If I were better at finding things i would hunt for it but I'm not sure if it was an interview online or on tv (not that it matters so much any more).

To a certain extent I would be too. The thing is that expected to win. They looked down on the Bruins with little respect and that (IMO) was what the quotes from the Canucks players felt like they were coming across as (condesending).

Word is Methot is not doing so great...

His status seems similar to Carlo's in as much as his status for game one is probably doubtful, but it'll be touch-and-go from there. He's on the mend, but seems pretty frustrated by how slowly the finger's healing. If Methot can't go, it's probably Claesson checking in.

Have always liked the Bruins since the Jumbo Joe days. Here's hoping for a clean series full of entertaining hockey!

What is this clean you speak of?

Question - I'm not in the Boston are and have been using NHL tv to watch games this season (which i freaking hate) is there anyway for me to legally watch the game tomorrow? I don't have NHL network (I don't have cable).

Im not sure how NHL.tv works.
They wont be showing the game??

If they arent, you wont be able to see it if you dont have NHL network or NESN.

If you want to watch the game just stream it. Youre paying for a service, you shouldve have to not watch your team.

NHL tv blacks out any game shown nationally or in my market which includes NHLN. But there is no way for me to stream NHL network. Normally I just use my NBC access to watch playoffs but apparently NBC isn't covering the Boston/Ottawa game tomorrow so I'm just screwed :shakehead

I am so frustrated with NHL tv. It's not cheap and I was able to pay just to watch the Bruins and I got a student discount. But the amount of games I couldn't watch was absurd. NHLN is the worst. They showed a good amount of Bruins but NHLN games are not included in the NHL tv subscription so they were all blacked out for me.

So I'm not sure what I'm going to be doing tomorrow

Been listening to TSN 1200 in Ottawa online all day, I like their commentary, even though its naturally biased towards the Sens winning. Anybody else listening to radio other than in Boston? What are they saying?

Yeah seriously, apparently the Jackets are on a mission and they don't care which team they mess up.....This case, Toronto. Was their own fault, had a good lead and blew it. I'm sure you guys are happier playing Ottawa, rather than a possible 1st round exit (at least that is what it seemed it could have been.)

Looks like Wednesday night might be game 1.

Game 2, Saturday.
Same night my Rangers play, will be checking in though.

After two years of no playoffs I'll take anything
As would I, but fortunately 11 out of 12 ain't bad (gonna re-write that song)
Gonna sound something like..... 11 out of 12, gonna put it on the shelf.......

It should be THANK YOU BOSTON!!! Or we have to thank every other team that took a point from Leafs since game one..

Bruins last 3 seasons finished with 95, 93 and 96 points. It's actually been a long time since we had a bad team. A little bad luck we never made playoffs last 3 seasons but we're in this year.

Damn shame how Bruins were relatively healthy all season and then lose 2 of your top 3 defencemen last 2 games. Pretty darn tough to take. But Bruins have been getting excellent goaltending lately so I guess you just never know. It's certainly not an upset if we beat Sens in the series. But Anderson has been brutal all his career vs Bruins. Hoping at least Carlo can play and maybe Krug game 3.

Krug out hurts our offence, not so much our defence. Losing Carlo hurts our defence and not so much our offence. Looking at it that way, if everyone can pull their weight just a tad more, hopefully it can make up for some of the loss of our 2 boys..
Not just the Bruins, he absolutely stones us, especially at MSG.

I might be wrong, but I don't think so.......We WILL be seeing you guys shortly.

P.S. I suppose you guys are rooting my Rangers on vs "Les Canadians"? Or, would you prefer playing them eventually?

I can't speak for everyone here but I personally am torn. Would love to see the Habs get knocked out first round, but would prefer the Bruins be the one knocking them out. I will never cheer for the Habs though, so go Rangers!!!

Well, to be fair to Methot, it does take awhile for a finger to grow back after it's been chopped off.

Hi all, sens fan coming in peace (for now...).

Ottawa's lines in practice this morning

per Brent Wallace @tsn_wally
MacArthur-Turris-Ryan
Hoffman-Pageau-Stone
Stalberg-Brasard-Burrows
Pyatt-Smith-Wingels

per Bruce Garrioch @SunGarrioch
Karlsson-Methot
Phaneuf-Ceci
Borowiecki-Wideman

Looks as if Methot potentially could be in for game 1...

Anyone know the word on Krug? Some are saying he is out for the entire 1st series at least... any reasoning to that or just rumors?

^ so far all we know is he'll "probably" be out the series. Carlo will play in the series at some point.

But we have no idea what his injury is. His replacement, McAvoy is being paired with Chara. So, we're rolling the dice here

He's got a lower/upper upper/lower body injury and he is probable for not being a game time decision. :naughty:

I absolutely would love the pleasure of knocking out the Habs if the oppourtunity exists. However, seeing them get knocked out first round would trump that I think because there is still the chance Habs would knock us out if we met and that is the worst feeling in the world so... Go Rangers!

Well that more or less tells you what they think of the D depth on this side. They're going to create some matchup problems for our 3rd pairing, specially with last change.

Although can't say I mind seeing Kelly off the PK. Pageau-Pyatt-Smith as forwards anchoring the PK worries me less now that Krug is out.

I agree, except for when, you know, they actually play each other.

Ottawa has owned Boston lately, not sure where you get they are better, unless you mean they are better when they don't play each other.

Bruins are just a better team than the Sens in every statistical categories.

Better offense.
Better Goalie.
Allowing less goals.
Better PP and PK.

So what if they lost 4 times to them spread over 82 games. They also lost two times against Colorado. Don't change the fact that they have a better team.

If they lose this series, it will be an upset and a huge missed opportunity. Even without Krug+Carlo.

I mean those are our 2-3 and a big reason our PP is where it is along with our kill. I think you're greatly overestimating what it means to lose those 2.

I'd say we're in a coin flip here at best.

Id give Anderson the edge in net too.

Its going to be a frustrating series.
I could see myself not turning these games on until at least 9pm just to avoid the frustration.

Not gonna lie, winning in '11 definitely eased the pain of that SC loss, but you're 100% right, I don't think most B's fans would be as bitter as some Canucks fans seem to be.
