Who said that?

Torts puts out struggling stars, people complain. Torts puts out players who have been good in this series, people complain.

I'm not really complaining. We're all amped and it's an elimination game and we're all saying whatever comes to out minds during these three periods. A lot of it is going to be negative. We all want to win this and Lord knows I'm saying way worse **** here at my house than I am on HF. But Brian Boyle is not and should not be the guy to look to in key situations. If he's effective in this game and he comes out and keeps us in it well then egg on my face and I'll happily apologize because honestly they could put a ****ing squirrel out there if that's what it takes to win this game. But we need our star players to step up in a big way. I'm disgusted at them right now and the fact that Brian mother****ing Boyle is our "man" to look for, makes me even more disgusted at the way our star players have been playing in this series.

Our PP is bad because our players are bad. Pretty simple.

I hope you're either joking, or just irrational out of frustration. We have very talented players, but they have no idea how the hell to work a freaking power play. They constantly stand still and don't shoot. I saw Richards hold the puck for about 5 seconds when he had a decent lane to shoot and look for a deflection, but he just held onto the puck. I understand if you have a player directly in front of you to pass it, but with that, you move yourselves to create a lane.

The Rangers just aren't capable of creating any sort of consistent offense on the power play. It's like they throw crap on the wall and hope some of it sticks rather than finding something that works and to be consistent with it. This isn't like the Isles power play yesterday where they had numerous quality chances but couldn't punch it in, this power play looks plain bad. And this is on home ice, too!

Ya I completely agree with you. I watched the Isles game last night and I remember thinking wow they look so great on the PP, and we have much more talent but we look like crap. Very frustrating.

Beaver really looks scared of the puck any time he has it on the PP. He always passes it back asap. Girardi really needs to stop shooting the guy can't hit the net for his life but he is the only one who shoots.

No he's not. We're shooting at him

Yea. It was McDonagh I think who took a shot from the left point with Ovechkin immediately in front of him. There was nothing that shot was going to do either than
A. Be shot wide around him
B. Be shot directly into him.

A prime reason why the PP sucks is because of the personnel. There is no competent point man for the PP, a part where it's the most vital position out there to score on PPs. That alone says they're not good enough, you can't have a competent PP without a competent PPQB at the point.

we sure are great at making other goalies look ELITE....while not protecting our own goalie..

Our PP is mostly to the advantage of the caps...They know what to do when we have it, we don't..

I sometimes start to wonder how many people here are actually rooting for our players to win, versus how many feel they're entitled to watch a win.

He's right. Not many here like to admit it, or they are just actually ignorant. The players are the ones out on the ice, and are the ones making the plays, or lack thereof.

This team isn't very talented. Very few guys have good hands, not many great skaters. No killer instinct or ability to bury shots.

Without Lundqvist, we don't even see the playoffs the past few years. Its a mediocre team, and will continue to be for a long time until we bring in TALENT that isn't over the hill.
