Whoever is in charge of the power play, assuming it isn't Torts, needs to go. This is just hideous. Watching the Sharks power play and watching this, it's like watching an amateur team vs. a pro team. Richards is horrendous. He shouldn't be on the ice ever. He's bad offensively, he's bad defensively, he's bad in the faceoff circle, he's bad at making decisions, he's making the team worse by his very presence. I don't expect Torts to be fired after the team getting gutted the way they did at the trade deadline, but some of the assistants have to go.

We just cannot play against good teams, especially fast ones.

The PP has been terrible in a lot of games this year, but so far tonight I think you have to credit the Caps. They're PK has been very good this game and it's not just the Rangers being bad.

Other than that a pretty decent period. Keep this up and don't let up in the 2nd like Friday.

Usually I'd say not converting on that 5 on 3 will bite us in the ass. But, since there's no real alternative, I'll say they're saving the best for last.

Our PP is bad because our players are bad. Pretty simple.

Only saw the 5 on 3 to end the period. Opportunities like that can cost you the game. Hopefully it won't be.

Back from lunch, ready for the rest of the game.

If Brian Boyle is team's best forward, you're gonna have a bad time.

If John Tortorella is coaching your PP, you're gonna have a bad time...

If Brad Richards and Dan Girardi are QBing your PP, you're gonna have a bad time...

If your name is Henrik Lundqvist and it's the playoffs, you're gonna have a bad time...

Boyle 7 minutes lol

No problem with that tbh, he's been our best forward. I swear I'll kill a kitten if Nash and Callahan continue to dangle and not take shots. Guess what guys, you're allowed to shoot, you don't need to carry it into the net.

Who said that?

Torts puts out struggling stars, people complain. Torts puts out players who have been good in this series, people complain.

blaming coach is an easy scapegoat target. People don't want to criticize their favorite players for being inept in the series and coach is the easy cop-out. this happens in all sports.
